View Full Version : Ever spend time in a "no-planer' forum ??

Stupid

...Or should I say, 'has anybody "wasted" their time in a no-planer forum ?'....because the more you confront them with reasonable explanations, the more they dig their heels into their unreasonable theories.
The most evident problem they have, is the extent that the no-planers will argue between themselves, how other no-planers's theories are stupid, or how no-planer "X" must be a shill or perp. (giggles at the melee)

I have posted and argued with these people. And I don't really know why...because I DO have better things to do.
Probably all these reasons are true, to different degrees......

-- "Know-it-all's", who don't know what they claim-to-know, annoy me.

-- I hate...angst-for-angst-sake......a feeling I get from many of them.

-- It's better than b-slapping them in person.

-- I feel I may add a tiny bit of doubt into their heads. I don't presume to be able to change them, but I can try to help them look at themselves.

-- I'm old and ornery.

It may cause the reverse effect, that I become "the enemy", and give them their opportunity to exercise their rebelliousness.

I do believe I just got shut-out of the "911 movement. org" (no-planer) forum. I can log-in, but not post. No reason given for the block, I was polite all the way through. (Perhaps that is why no reason was given, I did not break any forum rules.)

Here is my last few posts....I'm Freq Band. (please excuse my terminology (e,g,mass), it may not be accurate, but the gist is there...)

Repeating Smoke

Yes I see it.
Smoke is clearly repeating in the DK video.

But I have a reasonable explanation.......

Aspect ratio.
Years ago, most everything was shot, or meant to be broadcast, in a 4:3 ratio...the near-square size of your old analog TV.

Today, the typical flat wide-screen TV is a 16:9 ratio.
So what do you do, if you have older footage in 4:3, but want to fill the 16:9 wider screen ?

Option 1) Don't stretch anything, and put black areas on the sides, called "Pillarboxing".
Option 2)...You could stretch the entire image, but that looks fake, and not all that pleasing to the eye...everything looks short and fat.
Option 3) Duplicate and repeat the edges, creating a full 16:9 screen. The problem is this doesn't always look good either, but does work fine for certain images such as landscapes.
(Note: these days, there are more complicated algorithms used to stretch the edges, but in 2004, duplicating the edges was "high tech".)

Ozzy is referring to an edited video that is only edited for the express purpose of filling a 16:9 aspect ratio screen....it is not edited to "fool" or "trick" or otherwise change the "story" of what is being conveyed.
If you look closely to the OTHER side/edge....you see the same duplication.
If you look at the original Detroit shot, you can see the very-most left edge, is EXACTLY where the duplication begins. How strange.

Debunked.

I won't argue with the no-planers. Once someone truly believes in that crap there is no help for them.

I've argued with Ace Baker enough to know that I'd best avoid a forum with more than one of him.

1. While easier targets then the traditional "planer" truther, the "no planers" are no more wrong then the traditional truthers, their ideas are just more bizarre...but they are all wrong.

2. I am not sure I "enjoy" arguing with them. 2 years ago, when I thought we were making a difference, converting a few, and providing evidence and good debate for lurkers, yes perhaps then I enjoyed it. Now I tend to put them on ignore the minute I feel they are wasting my time.

3. I think the reason many continue to argue with them, despite having better things to do, is (A) amusement, (B) human tendency to argue, (C) their seeming inability to see things right before their eyes.

4. Welcome to the forum.

There ability to deny reality is amazing, I often wonder how they function in the real world (or if they do function for that matter).

I agree with TAM. Sometimes the temptation to try to point out the obvious stupidity of the no-planer position is overwhelming. I doubt you will have any success with them, but those guys need to be constantly reminded that their "theory" is as pointless as a chocolate teapot.

I am not a no-planer.
Nor am I a shill or a perp.

On topic: I don't spend time on conspiracy theory forums other than this one. The large number of intelligent, rational, and grounded folks here makes it a learning experience, instead of a mental anesthetic.

Ever play a First Person Shooter on "god mode"? That's "debating" no planers.

That's funny.

I am both a perp and a shill, as well as being DARPA project lead on the airline hologram/orbital DEW program. The kicker? The planes were projected all the way from the HAARP facility.

You have no idea how hard it was to type all that with a straight face.

Debating with no-planers is, in some sense, the modern equivalent of our ancestors poking freaks at the circus with a big stick.

You know you shouldn't do it, but its just so much fun to see their reaction!

Why do you enjoy it? Eh... could be for a lot of reasons. Either positive ones about contributing to the accuracy of the narrative, or negative ones about trouncing obvious nincompoops. Unfortunately, I confess to holding both motivations. :(

But seriously, highlighting the positive side: It drives me nuts to see the narrative so distorted by the so-called "Truth" movement. Oftentimes, future academics have nothing but the written text from which to work, and these imbiciles want to contribute this dreck to 21st century American history? I'm sure future historians would see conspiracy fantasy for the moronic lies-laden load of bunk it is, but I'd like for them to know that there are many conteporaries in this time period who realized it as well.
