I just discovered that a psychic medium will be performing in my home town of Grimsby, UK this evening. On a whim I've suggested the psychic allows himself to be subjected to a scientific test, now this is all very short notice, and chances are he will decline, but I am hoping that local media will put pressure on him to agree. Here is the news article which I stumbled up on:

and here is his website:

I can't post links yet, I'm sure you good people can work out how to fix those.
That is all the information I have, what I need ASAP is a protocol to test this guy should a miracle happen (by the hand of god of course) and he accepts the challenge I have set, chances are, he won't, but even so I'd like to be prepared.
So if you good folks would be so kind, a protocol to test Steven (or Stephen I'm not sure) Holbrook please. I have some ideas but very little time to develop them
Oh and you have like 17 hours.
P.S. if there is any sceptic in the area who is more qualified to conduct a test like this I would love any contact details should any of what I've said come true, which I know I know I know, it probably won't.

One simple one is, "what is in my right hand," or "who is holding what and where," type questions. But that's hardly a good scientific protocol.

Get a photograph of something unusual and unique. Seal it in an envelope. Seal that envelope inside a larger one. Bring that to the presentation ask what the photograph is a picture of.
Alternatively, ask the him to tell you your middle name. Have ID with you to prove otherwise when he gets it wrong.

There's nothing to test. His claim is unprovable unless you were to lie to him about who is dead, but I'm sure he could weasel out of that one. Here's how he describes his act.
I am clairaudient and during my demonstrations I am able to give individual messages to people in the audience. These messages that I am able to hear, are from family or friends that have ‘died’ - and can be in various accents and dialects. However, I am unable to contact these people to order- they contact me to pass on their messages to loved ones in the audience, using me as their telephone during the evening. I truly believe that this rare ability has been given to me for a reason, and I feel it is a privilege to use it so that I can help people in their search for proof that we do survive death.

Hi,I have offered Holbrook the chance to prove his abilities, mentioned the MDC on more than one occasion,He declines.
So I wouldn't concern yourself with protocols. :)

If you try to test people like this your "negative vibes" scare away the spirits. So it won't work. Plus, if he is preaching to a largely receptive audience, it is likely that his bouncers (security) will scare away you.
It's really not worth the effort. True Believers will not change their minds, and sceptics already know what the result will be. Fence sitters generally do not attend these sort of things anyway.
