Is Mikheil Saakashvili a dictator? Did Mikheil Saakashvili have anything to do with what happend to Zurab Zhvania, Sandro Girgvliani and Badri Patarkatsishvili? Why does America support Mikheil Saakashvili? Mikheil Saakashvili sounds like a despot.

Why did America support Musharraf? It was politicall expedient to do so. Why does the US enjoy a political relationship with the King of Saudi Arabia? It is politically expedient to do so.

See a pattern here?

"we" support Georgia...because we have decided that the enemy of our "enemy" (Russia) is our friend. Putin makes buddies with Chavez, Sung, and Ahmedinajad, so the USA makes friends with Poland, Ukraine, and Georgia. Its that simple. And you REALLY shouldnt even have to ask..such a rhetorical question.

One day, you will wake up and understand that politics is not a moral exercise. It is called "the art of the possible" for a reason.
