Good thing the evil NWO has been perfecting those voice modulators ever since 9/11 so they can create hundreds of hours of the most shocking overt corruption anyone has ever heard publicly.

And hypnotize him to make him say such brazen comments as "I have nothing but sunshine hanging over me" AFTER he knew about the wiretapping.

MAN that Karl Rove is a genius. :newlol

I frequent a site that can fall under the spell of such conspiratorial thinking. Most everyone there (except the usual scattered tinfoilers who would frequent ATS, of course) threw the flag on that line of thought.
Good job on whichever nWo operative cooked that whole thing up in less than 24 hours.
Also ran across someone who figured that, because the Feds had been investigating Blagojevich for three years, that they were simply allowing a corrupt pol to run the state the whole time.
I guess when you're used to building cases for capital offenses and war crimes based on blog entries and youtube videos, someone's standards of evidence collection and case building can get a wee bit warped.

Oh, I am sure they are busy at it right now.
Yeah, Obama certainly had dealings with Blogo; it's sort of hard to avoid dealing with the Governor of a state you are a senator from...but it was not that close a relationship.
BTW from what I have been reading a vast majority of Democratic politicians in Illinois hated Blogo's guts for various reasons.

And like I said in the politics thread about this, as both a guy who votes republican more often than not and a political junkie who treats a good scandal like a junkie treats uncut heroin, I'd LOVE to see this reach the highest office in the land.

But considering the comment about how the administration "was offering nothing except appreciation. :rule10 them!" Obama looks remarkably innocent here.

Shoot.

From the OPs link those nuts think the only reason this scum went down was standing up to big banking. I wonder if they are still on that same note now that BoA has agreed to loan the company the money needed to make payroll/backpay.

For the record I work in a family-run corporation and thanks to the economy we weren't allowed to sell back unused vacation time this year either.

Now that I think about it, our credit line is through BoA!

That's just because there was a leak and they couldn't keep it out of the Main Stream Corporate Control Media™ once the workers put up resistance. So BofA was allowed by their handlers to open the spigot. But first they cooked up the Blagojevich indictment to dominate the MSCCM™ so that they could cover up their mistake.

Or something.

Is it just me or does the Governor look a little Lou Ferrigno-esque?

Apparently he's a bit of a cocky ass too. Cheesing with the prosecutor and shaking his hand. Thinks he's invulnerable. I hope he has the same look on his face Bernie Ebbers had when they sentenced him.

I think the most high-profile Finnish-American politician is the late Gus Hall (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gus_Hall). :D

Wow, you must be an insider to have heard "hundreds of hours of the most shocking overt corruption anyone has ever heard publicly." I just got a few allegations and colorful language on my cable news channels.

What do you know that we don't, Drudge?

What we've already heard is the most shocking overt political corruption we've ever heard publicly.

There were three different phones being tapped. If anything, "hundreds of hours" is a huge understatement.

Put one and one together. Didn't say we've heard hundreds of hours, only that for it to have been a set-up it would have required hundreds of hours of faked voices.

Any other "gotcha... oops" questions? :p

ATS has reached new lows on this one (who knew such was possible?). Reading that thread is like watching a slow motion train wreck. So many CTers flailing about looking for a NWO or Illuminati angle to make this charlatan look like a freedom fighter! I can only sit back and wonder at these levels of stupidity.

That site is a hotbed of wacko populism - any and everything that CAN be blamed on big business/banks/evil corporate overlords will be, even this.

They've lost touch with the old adage, if it looks like a duck and it quacks like duck, maybe it really is a duck.

Hey, what about the angle that this guy was standing up to the NRA and several Illinois gun manufacturers...

But anyways... Chicago has corrupt politicians... water is wet... the sun is hot.

It's no real surprise... disgusting, yes, surprising no.

I know. How ironic is it to read that thread when at the top the logo and banner says ATS: Deny Ignorance.

More like "ATS: Where we embrace ignorance on a hourly basis."

Not really. It seems like they're thoroughly in denial about it.

Ok, then, the "hundreds of hours of the most shocking overt corruption anyone has ever heard publicly" was really hundreds of hours of mostly boring recordings, with some shocking-overt-corruption stuff included.

"Hundreds of hours of the most shocking overt corruption anyone has ever heard publicly" just sounds so... punditesque.

It's simple, mindless contrarianism; the Evil Jewish/Mason/Globalist/Commie/Space Lizard-Controlled Media says he's bad, so obviously he must be a tragically flawed hero who stood up to the Ridiculously Vast Conspiracy and paid the ultimate price.

I tend to be rarely be more serious than the post I'm responding to warrants.

Hence, EVER taking something I say about in response to a topic on ATS is a fool's game. :D

One columnists at the Washington Post said today:

"In Chicago Politics, If you are not being wiretapped, under indictment, or already in Prison, you are not really trying".
