I have shut down my blog, 911files.info. It was cyber-attacked a year ago (along with another php site I have) and the SQL database was corrupted resulting in the loss of a lot of work. Since then, I have had to practically close off the comments section (that is how the site was attacked).
It is not good to do work in a vacuum and contrary to popular belief; I am not all knowing or all seeing. I need input from credible professionals from a wide range of expertise. I have in the past worked “off the record” with many individuals, some who are part of the Truth movement. I respect their expertise, motivation and concerns, even if I don’t agree with their conclusions. However, my willingness to listen and explore non-traditional views of the 9/11 topic have brought me under attack once again. This is not from rational or mainstream individuals, but from the very people I have tried to be sympathetic to. As such, I am severing those relationships.
Moderating and maintaining an online presence which lends to open debate is a monumental task at times. It is one that I prefer not to deal with since it distracts from actually getting any work done. So I will leave AAL77.COM up as a resource for other researchers, but I have decided to use JREF to announce new materials or present any of my work. I look forward to a mutually beneficial exchange of ideas here at JREF.

That's called spamming, BTW, I don't think that's allowed.

I disagree! John's stuff is 911 research material and he has and is obtaining a ton of material directly related to discussions here. It's no more spamming than it is for any one of us to mentioned Books, Reference Material, or online pages with links directly related to the subject matter.
In fact, the sticky's at the top of the Forum are a good example. There are links and references all over this Forum. I suspect you've just misunderstood what John is proposing.....

I think he can tie it to topics, past and present, and share his research in those areas 9/11 truth has spewed pure stupid.
I will miss the web site. Poor p4t extreme pilot terrorist apologist Balsamo uses the loss of 911.info as a way to demonstrate his paranoid hypocrisy indicative of his pure stupidity on 9/11 issues.

I don't think announcing the release of new government data is spamming. I could of course be wrong. Analysis of that data and debunking myths surrounding 9/11 is also the purpose of this forum, or at least that is what I understood it to be.
But then again, some folks don't want the radar data, atc records, faa reports, and other information being made public, so I can understand a little opposition.

I agree. I think everyone here will welcome any actual new information to discuss. We've just been going around in circles lately.

Sorry to hear about this, truly.
Horatius: I think we have reached the point where there really isn't anything new to discuss. No new permutations, no new "questions".....nothing but rehashed old news.

I think if you were advertising here new posts on your website, it MIGHT be construed as SPAMMING HERE, but given you are shutting down the site, and using JREF to exhibit all further research, essays, etc, I do not think it is Spamming.

I never visited 911files.info, but I get the impression that it was a serious effort. Assuming that's true, please take a look at the911forum.freeforums.org, and consider cross-posting there.

Maybe I did, I took his post as saying he wanted to use these forums to promote his work, like those posters who start threads, copy-paste their work in the OP and leave.

I hope your blog essays are still available; there was a lot of information in your analysis that is useful -- certainly helped put the raw data in context.

Hi, 911Files and a belated welcome.
I don't do laughing dogs, but were I the sort of person who employed that sort of cheap back-slapping device, I'd surely insert one here.

Nope. I still have the SQL database, but I'm not sure if I will recover anything from it or not. However, this evening I found the remaining data I need to finish up my primary project after almost 2 1/2 long years. I will begin writing the project summary within a few days and post it here once complete. It will most likely replace anything that you may miss from the blog essay's.
Thanks for the howdy Foolmewnz.

BTW, there's about 80 blog posts from 911files.info temporarily archived in Google cache. I'm downloading the pages before they disappear -- unfortunately since the site is down the graphics are still gone, although I think I have downloaded some over the months.

Just JAQ:Have you considered some open source content management for website? The loss of data is bad,but I think that hosting it at one place would be still good,as forums tend to have limited space and using other not-www services is not best.
And were those php+sql sites made by you or some already-made? (Just to be aware of possible holes when considering their deployment)

I have several sites in which to store bulk materials (AAL77.COM for example),images and significant work. The intent of 911files.info was for announcements and discussion. However, maintaining security in a discussion format (such as blog or forum) is a real time-consuming pain and growing more so every day (just ask the moderators here a JREF). I prefer to spend my time doing research than figuring out the best way to block spam attacks and shrills.

There are no de jure experts at the911forum.freeforums.org. If Ranke is considered a de facto expert on flight paths, you are free to displace him, based on the quality of your arguments and data.

Actually, my hosting service was supposed to take care of that. But for some reason they were unable to recover a corrupted mySQL database. That is what I get for using cheap hosting services :)

I try to avoid arguments whenever possible, because they are usually pointless when you get people like Ranke involved. Completely foundless "the plane flew over the Pentagon, because these people who saw it hit the Pentagon saw it on the north side of the Citgo", or "Lloyde England is part of a government conspiracy and a liar because of these other witnesses who report the plane clipping the poles and hitting the Pentagon are proof that it flew to the north side of the Citgo" arguments are hard to counter (if these example arguments are hard to follow, then you get my point).
So I'll leave you to your serious investigation and remain here with the other government agents.

I was (am) using Wordpress (php) which was customized by me. The server is Apache and mySQL is the database.

There's also no requirement that you engage anybody (including Ranke) in arguments. You could simply post data plus your analysis, and leave it at that. And what will you do if Ranke posts arguments here at JREF - go find another forum?
In any event, it's clear you're not interested. Good luck.

If you didn't know, Craig used to post here under the username Lyte Trip before he was banned. Those threads are some of the funniest stuff I have ever read. I wasn't around here when he was posting either, but looking back at them is great entertainment.
