Milking it
Animal welfare activist Sean Gifford has travelled the length of the UK dressed as a cow to draw attention to the claimed hazards of drinking milk. But the stunt turned sour last year in Aberdeen when angry schoolchildren pelted him with cartons of milk.

How long did it take her to beat that snake to death with a stick, 1/2 hour?

Another PETA person down how many to go? I think they forgot that teenages can be as bloody minded as anyone. Still 3 cheers to the Aberdeen schoolchildren.

If his goal was to get the children avoid the hazzards of milk by not drinking it, then I'd have to say his effort was a success. ;)

Well.

I can offer one observation.

Never, EVER get between a hungry 13 year old and her pizza.

Just don't.

To quote the BBC article further:

Undaunted by the hostile reception, Mr Gifford said: "I think they just got a bit over-excited. I'm sure they will go home and think about our message." But one 16-year-old pupil, quoted by The Scotsman, said: "This is a stupid idea. I certainly won't stop drinking milk just because a man has dressed up as a cow outside my school." (my italics)

Out of the mouths of babes...

I don't think the kids are the ones that need to go home and think about their message.

Seriously, I love animals as much as the next guy, I shake my fist at creeps on "Animal Precinct" and worry about the treatment of KFC chickens enough that I don't go there often...

But lately it seems like a lot of animal-rights activism has backfired badly...

Wow, smart kid. Sometimes I am amazed at how astute my own little guy is about stuff too.

Animal rights? What cow wouldn't like its nipples stroked lovingly every morning?

What human wouldn't like it? I wish I was a cow...
