The man who had confessed, then recanted, apparently confessed again.

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – A serial killer who died more than a decade ago is the person who decapitated the 6-year-old son of "America's Most Wanted" host John Walsh in 1981, police in Florida said Tuesday.

The announcement brought to a close a case that has vexed the Walsh family for more than two decades, launched the television show about the nation's most notorious criminals and inspired changes in how authorities search for missing children.

I guess it ends the family's two decades of not knowing what happened/who did it, but that seems little comfort.

Well, it's nice that John can get some closure on this. His ability to turn such a heartbreaking tragedy into a positive crusade that accomplished so much is inspiring.

Ottis Toole was one sick rule 10. My heart goes out to the Walsh Family for what poor Adam probably went through, I hate to think about.

I'm sure Mr. Walsh would have liked to have seen Toole doing the high-voltage dance. Hopefully he will contine with his good work, especially for the children.

its sad because Adam would be the same age as I if he lived. of course, this all hit close to home when we were growing up, because of how close in age Adam was to many of my friends and I.
