Till---Are you psychic? How did you know what the poster was going to say below your post? I know you didn't say what the post was going to be, but nonetheless, the fact you wanted me(us) to look...and then that post..:D

At 7:54 pm,ct there is just a sliver left showing of the moon. The rest is shadowed. It will soon be at peak, but as it comes out of the eclipse, you will still see the shadow track across the moon for quite a while yet.

I had really been looking forward to this. The evenings here have been consistantly clear, displaying a brilliantly beautiful sky.

Of course this morning I awoke to heavy rain. It still hasn't let up.

How long do I have to wait until the next one?

&%?@£ I'm stuck in the north and all I'm getting is cloud cover and masses of sky glow.

The next one occurs on May 4, 2004. It occurs during the daylight hours in North America. Next one visible from North America is Oct. 27-28, 2004.

Here's one I took with my digital camera -- unfortunately had to be compressed in size and quality in order to post. Kind of neat to have it in context, though.

(I have a 35mm -- but -- no -- film!!)
