So today I turn the computer on and open Safari:

-I wait a while

-My mind wanders and then I wake up and realize I've been waiting for too long for this to be normal

-I hit Alt+Command+Esc and Force Quit

-I sigh and open Safari again

-The same thing, with the cursor turned into the marble of doom

-I curse and restart the computer

-I try again

-The same thing

-This time I wait. About a minute and a half after waiting, Safari finally loads. I try "reseting Safari"

-It resets but also takes a little while

Should I be worried?

First of all, repair your permissions using Disc Utility.

If that fails, have you tried deleting the preference file?

Hard drive / Users / [your username] / library/ preferences, you find several files starting with com.apple.Safari and ending with .plist

Try moving them to the trash one by one, and seeing if Safari opens any quicker.

Are you using a Mac?

Are you using a Mac?

Apparently so.

-I hit Alt+Command+Esc and Force Quit

Only Macintoshes have a “Command” key. (“Alt” is an IBM–PCism, but many Macintosh keyboards have the “Option” key also labeled as “Alt”. (Mine has “alt” in very small letters near the top, and “option” in much bigger letters below it.)) And this is the sequence to bring up “Force Quit” under MacOS X.

Yes, of course.

Silly of me.
