I have no idea how these things are normally organised, but it might be fun to list some potential guest speakers - not just the usual suspects, but those who would probably not make it to an American based TAM.
I would really like to hear a talk by the metalist performer Derren Brown. (See Wikipedia article for some details.)
Having read his autobiography, I would particularly like to hear Derren's insights into the religious experience. Brown is a former evangelical Christian but he became an atheist in his 20s and this was as least partly due to the insights that the study of mentalism gave him.
Any other suggestions?

I suspect it's probably too late for this.

It is, I am afraid to say, way way too late for this. Of course you are welcome to keep making suggestions but the problem with that is you may find the actual speaker list disappointing!
I don't believe you'll find it disappointing, but I feel obliged to make the point.
The schedule is fully booked so any wishing you do here will be nothing more than that!

Harry Houdini
Kate Beckinsale
Monica Bellucci

Yes, compared to the above I am likely to find the actual guest list somewhat disappointing....

Don't torture us like that TEEK! if the list is known, tell us! I'll be coming to England for my first time even if you only have "george the dog boy" presenting.

Hee! I can't, some of the names aren't fully confirmed and it would be rather awful to announce them then retract in the event they can't make it after all!
Oh OK then.
James Randi
Phil Plait.
There! Two entire names who will be at TAM London :D

Good enough for me! Those two can make it a great show all by themselves!

Ah, well there is always the possibility of another TAM London.

And there's always the chance that the speaker list will reflect at least some of your wishlist, too! :)

I wouldn't, Gaius only suggested one name! It was a general comment as the actual list hopefully reflects who people would like to see from a broad range. There's also the very annoying reality that the more desirable a speaker is, the harder he/she is to get because of other commitments. But we haven't done too badly at all, and worst case scenario I'll sing for the entire conference whilst doing an erotic fan dance.

Now you really do need to produce some exceptional speakers, or some people will be very disappointed... ;)

Screw the rest of the conference, I'll pay just to see that! :)

That will insure that only two people attend the conference - you and me. And you'll have to cover your eyes.

Me. I think I should be an invited guest.
Really, because it's the only way I'll be able to get there. :(

Iain Banks.
Seriously, read his books and see how many are about atheistic ways of dealing with life and death. Well, the good ones.

Well I'm hoping that Jon Ronson will be there, if not presenting at least attending. I shall probably buy new copies of "Them" and "Goats" if he is there. And if I am there which I should be able to confirm this Friday.
