Occasionally when I'm reading, I read a novel, memoir, classic literature, or SOMETHING, and in the grand sequence of things (it's never planned) I read The Next Thing, and it is a great complement to the something I've read earlier. I'm not defining the pairings (or groupings), but would enjoy seeing how people match their reading, and I'm sure in the process we'll see some books we like and others that might relate to them.
You could go point-counterpoint, like the God Delusion and God is No Delusion. (and I don't care to argue if this is a great pairing, this is like wine, pair your own selections, tell us why you like it/they go together)
Or a theme Stiff by Mary Roach, Dispatches from the Edge by Anderson, and then Watchmen for the Story behind the story. (That would be "I See Dead People"
And I actually had a much better pairing in mind, months ago when I thought to post this to the board, but have forgotten it in the interim business.
