It looks very nice, and generally works well. But I note that it still has trouble with Quicktime files, specifically in the Timo's movie trailer channel. When viewing these, images sometimes freeze, and although sometimes the file continues, most often Miro crashes. I've also noted that in this version of Miro, the sound from Quicktime files doesn't always get passed to the speakers. I watched 3 QT trailers just now in which the channel carrying speech was absent.

Anyone here have similar experiences?

Miro (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miro_(software)) uses VLC (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VLC_media_player) backend on Windows, which I use as a standalone player. It uses a different codec system than the rest of Windows, which most of the time is an advantage but sometimes it isn't.

I guess you could try installing QuickTime Player (http://filehippo.com/download_quicktime_player/) or QuickTime Alternative (http://filehippo.com/download_quicktime_alternative/) to play the videos you're having trouble with...

Yeah, I bought QT Pro ages ago and sometimes use it, but I think it's time I wrote to the Miro people and let them know of this problem.
