Hi,
I read the financial section of my paper and the Economist.
But I'd like a bit more hands-on advice.
Now I'm subscribed to Money Morning, an email newsletter from the British publication MoneyWeek. I really like their analysis of and useful advice about investing and handling personal finance. (though I wish they'd include some more information for those in the Euro zone)
I don't have a background in finance, so simple and useful are key terms here.
What publications do you use?
I'm also somewhat curious about Francesca's opinion of MoneyWeek (if the title is familiar at all).

The only thing I read most of is The Economist. I subscribe to the FT but could not possibly read all of it. I have access to a lot of other publications, the best of which IMO are Barron's and the WSJ. However I'm not really in it for personal money-management advice so can't recommend anything really.

Wow, look at the tsunami of recommendations my thread has generated.
I'll stick with the Economist then.
Anyway, thank you Francesca.

Daily browses
Globe and Mail online
NYT online
FT Online
International Herald Tribune online
China Daily online
Times of India online
But there is NOTHING like The Economist...what is it now - 148 years??

Let me add Forbes, although I do not know if there is a UK/Europe edition.

Ah finally, some results.
Thank you all.
I'm going to check out these over the web during the weekend.
Do any of you follow a certain commentator such as Jim Rogers?
I like a little opinion with my dry facts once in a while.

The trick to following such commentators is to discover their biases so you will know which parts to ignore.

One reason The Economist is so strong is that
a) it employs the top writers from around the world
b) has no bylines...
Think about that for a moment.....

WSJ, Economist, Forbes.
Stay away from Money and other "popular distribution" publications. They seem to be lifestyle-type rags oriented to the get-rich easy-and-quick crowd. Lots of dreck in them that will steer you wrong.
Most of all, stay away from "financial advisers." They mainly advise your money into their pockets. If they're any good, they don't need or want your penny-ante cash, that's for sure.
