So on this hippie board I frequent someone posted up a link to "The Obama Deception" and my snide AJ comment resulted in the usual philosophical musings regarding my mindset and life in general. Just thought I'd share a few of the doozies:
Yay! Another installment in the Cult of Alex Jones!
I wonder how the elites plan to reduce the population of the world by 80% (see: Endgame) is coming along?
Yay! Another complete dismissal from the cult of "the courts have decided there's nothing to see here!". Way to go. Your religious beliefs in politics are as strong as ever.
I put in a bit about people's track records, and being able to make judgments on the quality of their material and being able to say that - "hey, maybe I shouldn't trust that source anymore...." I say that most people who are politically aware have decided where they stand - and that means that people with opposing/different politics will be more likely to be disregarded. Is that "religious"? Or just the way politics works?
then I get this doozy:
Keeping an open mind to all information is important. "Taking a stand" and limiting your beliefs is closing you off to any new possibilities or evolution of your ideals. This is religious IMO. Dismissing something because it's presented by a certain person is dogmatic (it can't be possible because Mohammed said it, not Jesus!)
Hell, even believing in the cult of "politics" is ridiculous to me. Politics is just a show to distract people from what is really going on. But if you're stuck in that movie, it's hard to see what's going on behind the scenes to make it all happen.
So I guess there's no such thing as politics after all! The debates over taxation levels, social values, spending levels - all those are just debates over unimportant minutiae - a smokescreen to keep us busy while the Masons/Illuminati/"Banksters" run the REAL show!
Egadz.... there's just no way to make any progress with these people I swear...
I'm used to the "no difference between left and right" argument (and I know there's a kernel of truth to it), but the "there's no such thing as politics" angle is completely off the wall!
