I think that there is no reason to put those two topics together. Philosophy is a serious attempt to understand the world. Religion is not.

I would suggest that philosophy has a seperate forum, and religion is renamed to "Religion and Secularism".

(Just as in the forums of the podcast PointofInquiry

I think that the two subjects tend to be associated quite strongly. Like Science and Technology (although the relationship isn't the same). I don't think we need to spread the forums out any more.

You have a good point. "Science and Philosophy" would make better sense. Especially to philosophers. To scientists (and, in particular, lay enthusiasts of science), not so much. Watching the trouble such a person can get into as a result of taking philosophical baggage on board unexamined can alternate between entertaining and exasperating. It's easy to forget that what we now call "Science" was born as a branch of Philosophy. A surprising number of people seem never to have known it in the first place.

"We fear change".
