You know there is some little spoiled rich girl right now crying and screaming to her dad, "I WANT THAT PINK DOLPHIN!!!"

What a great name for a Key West tavern. If I even realize my dream of "retiring" to such a business, that will be it.

I feel really dirty and terrible for expecting something else entirely.

It does look as if it's made from the same material as something else entirely.

I chuckled when I read this bit:
A close relation of dolphins, the Amazon River Botos, called pink dolphins, live in South America in the Amazon.
I wonder how exactly river dolphins (http://www.unique-southamerica-travel-experience.com/images/pink-dolphin-copia.jpg)fail to qualify as dolphins proper, being only "close relations?"

It depends how you define "dolphin". River dolphins are toothed whales like regular dolphins, but they're far enough away from them to get their own families.

Okay now I am concerned. The report is the dolphin is albino. So the bright pink colour must mean the poor little blighter is sunburned :(
Rather than filming it, I believe the charter boat operator should be calling on an international rescue mission to find a way to apply sunblock

Not necessarily. The pink is quite uniform, not concentrated at the top, suggesting it's just normal skin bloodflow.

Good observation. Let's cut it to test your hypothesis.
