State ordered to buy car for short man

A Norwegian court has sided with a man who claimed he can't use public transit for fear he'll be ridiculed because he's so short. The state may also need to waive his driver's license fees.

article (http://www.aftenposten.no/english/local/article.jhtml?articleID=667158)

The guy can't just feel lucky that society was able to keep him alive. No, he wants the government to provide him with a car, because he has social angst.

The worst part is, the government went for it.

Ugh. Unless the government made him short, why should they be solving this problem?

The court could have just prescribed him some Zanax, or whatever the latest anxiety drug is. It would probably be cheaper in the long run. :)

I've never heard that about Norwegians. Maybe they should just buy him some pants?

Gem: The link was up on Aftenposten's website, it's just dead now, either because they've removed it, or for some technical reason.

I tested the link after posting it and it worked. Just tested it now and it worked. Maybe the site had problems.
