This is a good group, and the venue has good food, too!! I understand we have a PA this time around, too, which should make it even better.
I recently heard Park speak on the radio, and based upon that bought his "Voodoo Science" and read it. Fun and informative, and I know from his visit with Dave Ross (KIRO Seattle radio host) that he's a good speaker, too.
Hope a bunch of you attend, MK

Sadly, I have to work that weekend else I'd be there with bells on! Maybe next time...

I signed up to go. It will be the day after I take the Graduate Record Exam... yes, I plan to become a perpetual student.

Bonus! Looking forward to meeting you! I met HCn, had a lovely chat.
And for those who care, the "skeptic's meet-up" on Tuesdays once a month in Seattle was fun, too. Too short, but fun.

Miss Kitt, how will I recognize you? Never mind. I see you have a picture in your profile. :)
And have you met Harriet (the SkepDoc) yet?

...is there anyone going from the Vancouver area, or somewhere in between Vancouver and Seattle?
And would I be able to crash at someone's home that night?
I'm thinking of going, would love to get down there...trying to figure out what I can or cannot do.

If you don't mind clutter and dogs (which stay in the kitchen mostly), you can crash at my house. I think my son is going back to B'ham Saturday which means his bed will be unoccupied.

Sorry, folks...won't be able to make it this time. The finances just don't work right now. But hope to make it later.

Went to the event and enjoyed it. My young'un went, too, and for the most part was exemplary. She did manage to crack up the audience. Dr. Park put up a slide of the Apollo shot of Earth in its entirety and asked rhetorically, "And where was this taken from?" She raised her hand and said soberly, "Outer space!" Man, I love my child...
Nice to meet Skeptigirl and HCN again, too.
