So I have some priceless video of randi from the cruise. Really funny moments that no one else taped.

When I put it on my computer from my camera, it works fine. I can view it on quicktime and it looks great. But when I put it on moviemaker to try to prepare it for youtube, the sound is totally messed up. It's not really very long, a few minutes, but the sound breaks up and gets lost.

On computer and playback on camera fine, when I try to do moviemaker...sound a MESS.

I hate to think this video will never make the web, it's really funny.

Kitty!

Can you export it from QuickTime in a different format? You might need QT Pro for that.

Otherwise, I think YouTube can accept most video types and will do the conversion for you. Unless you are trying to edit or add titles?

not really I'll try direct. I wanted to add in a title and a photo of me, as I helped Randi out. I have a photo of the end thing, but hey... lemme see

I hate to think this video will never make the web, it's really funny. Oh it won't (http://www.nchsoftware.com/prism/index.html). If you can get the uncompressed data off the camera, rar it then upload it (http://megaupload.com) and send someone here the link. I could do it, then optimize it smartly for Youtube's high resolution format. It would be charming to have Randi among 10% of Youtube's content that is "high definition".

Windows Movie Maker is garbage. Use something else, like aviSynth and/or VirtualDub.

There has been considerable (and helpful) discussion of video editing software here: Best video editing software for Windows? (http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?t=136742)
