I would like to see a parody of these kung fu movies with all the tricks done by slightly overweight guys in jeans with bad hair.
(can't post links yet, just search for shaolin in youtube to see some examples)
The shaolin are good showmen but the "secrets" of some of their tricks are apparent if you have half a brain.

Ku-Fu Hussle and Kung-POW! Enter the Fist are great too.
I think that Kung-POW! should have a sequel just because of how often I quote the first one.

Ah, Yellow Bamboo. Getting schooled by BJJ practitioners. :)
One of the cooler things I've seen in terms of "real world" Kung Fu was when a member of the Beijing Wushu team was teaching at our local university MA club, and demonstrated that the "run up the wall and then run along the wall for a bit" trick is perfectly achievable if you're highly athletic.
Mind you, in a wireworks movie, they run along the length of the room. In real life, she ran about two meters at most. Still, it was awesome.

I've self-studied kajukenbo, but not in Portland. My heart goes out to that poor fool that looks like me. :p
