South Park offers up a take on the economic crisis with an allegory of the rise and crucifixion of Christ.
It sounds a lot crazier than it actually is. You can find a link to watch the episode, named Margaritaville, here:http://www.southparkstudios.com/
The episode title comes from a side story where the mortgage mess is equated with Stan trying to return a financed margarita machine.

I don't know about the long term prospects of the "solution" though... But hey.

puppycow, that is an awesome avatar..
it was a decent vid.. I think they were kind of endorsing the approach that our govt. is currently taking to resolving this economic breakdown.. or did i miss something?
the whole tying in of the "savior" coming in and buying up all of our debts *literally* was pretty good..

Ravdin,
The "chart" at the Treasury was pretty awesome.
Yeah, I liked that part as well.
Interestingly I actually took the liberty of writing down all the items on the wheel
Outer Ring / Ring-3: Call JP Morgan, Telethon, Tax the Rich, Bad Bank, Indian Casinos, Buy Mortgages, $10 Trillion, Sell to China, Lower Gas Prices, Run for the Hills
Middle-Ring / Ring-2: Go to War, $1 Billion, Raise Fed, Cut Education, Press-Conference, Print Money, $90 Trillion, Go to Congress
Inner-Ring / Ring-1: Socialize, Bailout, Let Fail, Nationalize, Coup D'etat
Center: Try Again
