Pot does kill, proving suspicions of many! (http://www.nbc5i.com/news/2651591/index.html?subid=10101601)

DALLAS -- A north Texas man is dead after police say he choked on a bag of marijuana.

Police say Nickolas Sandoval, 24, was changing a flat tire in Corinth when officers stopped to help him.

They say that's when he apparently put the bag in his mouth and choked to death on it.

Police say they had no idea Sandoval was hiding the drugs in his mouth and it was too late to help when they noticed the plastic bag lodged in his throat.

Sandoval died at a Denton hospital.

So now we know...marijuana is not the harmless drug it is claimed to be.

:D

How bad are the marijuana laws in Texas that someone has to go to that extreme to hide it from cops? If I had a baggie, I'd take the chance- the worse that's going to happen is I'll get fined for a first offence.

He would have been arrested. The guy is dumb, he should have just shoved the indo down his pants when the cops came.

He never would have died if it were not for the plastic bag of marijuana. We must criminalize the possession of plastic bags immediately!

That could've turned ugly if it was a k-9 unit....

I remember years ago when I was in college, we had a Pot Day and one of the acitivities was a forum discussing how to avoid getting busted. The local police were represented by an upper ranking officer (Seargent or Captain or something). He mentioned that fact that MJ can ruin lives and the crowd chided him - How??

He told the story of a high school aged kid that had a wonderful life - great family, straight A's, socially active etc when he got caught with a joint. They police cut him no break. he was busted to the hilt and thrown in jail for a number of years.

Therefore MJ = ruined life.

This moron could not understand when people tried to point out his circular reasoning.

On another note he was asked to clarify search laws. When can the cops search you and what are they allowed to do.? This was his statement (I can't quote but this was the jist). The idea was that the police could search you for a weapon but needed reasonable cause to search for MJ.

If they reach into your pocket and feel something soft, then they can't take it. However, if they feel something hard, they can ask you to pull it out.
