Obama gave a speech in France today, followed by a Q & A. In it, he said something fairly refreshing.
I can't remember the exact words of what he said, but it went something like:
"There is a tendancy to blame our foriegn policy, or to suggest that if we withdrew our troops from the Middle East these terrorists would cease their actions. This isn't correct. We have to remember that at the heart of these men lies a twisted ideology."
I've noticed that the blowback theory seems to be almost universally accepted these days. It's satisfying that it takes a knock from Obama.

It's also satisfying to me to find at least one of his policies that I actually agree with and can wholeheartedly support. It makes a pleasant change of pace from all his policies of his where I honestly believe his success will be worse for the country than his failure.

I'll give credit to the man where I think he's right... and in this case if he said that, I'd most likely agree with that statement.

Too bad he didn't utter words to that effect a year ago. :D

That sounds like what President Bush has been saying since 9/11. What exactly is Obama's contribution?
