Apparently there is some new documentary about this. It pertains to Stanley Kubrick being commissioned to film the moon hoax video. I know this has been kicked around before, but this documentary supposedly brings up all sorts of information regarding this. I saw an article in the paper about it, but so far haven't seen a critical review of the documentary. Has anyone here seen it? Or has it already been discussed?

They showed that "documentary" here in Sweden about a week ago. It is made to look real but they did it just to show how easy it is to fool the viewer to belive in a conspiracy.
It is funny though...
The same night they aired another "documentary" of the same kind with the interesting theory that the World Soccer Championships in Stockholm 1958 didn't take place in Stockholm but on the west coast of the U.S.A. They guy that did that film also started a web site (www.konspiration58.com - only swedish though) to test how people reacted.

This film was shown worldwide on April 1st this year, and it was really well done, they slowly increased the level of absurdity in what the interviewees were saying until it finally clicks in your mind.
However, even if you managed to sit through the entire thing without realising it was a hoax, the fact that they show all the out-takes at the end of the film should clue you in.

Some people have oil in their heads with way too high viscosity, so they never hear those clicks.

Hahah, ok, well that clears that up then. Amazing that there was a hole article in the paper here about the documentary, believing it was real. Shoddy reporting knows no bounds apparently.

No, I saw it, and it's real. It was narrated by Tony Clifton, and Spinal Tap did the soundtrack. One of the associate producers also worked on that documentary on the Blair Witch.

Heh ok so its real in the sense that the documentary exists and is a mock documenatry correct? Or is it real in the sense that the documentary is serious about what it puts forth?

Well... it depends on if you like conspiracies or not... :D

This film is very special, because, you see, the level of conspiracy goes up to 11.

But couldn't you just have judged it on a scale of 1 to 10 and have the conspiracy go to a level of 10?

Cool, there wouldn't happen to be an online version of that article would there?

Wow. I expect seppos to be taken in by that hoax, but Canadians?
It was a little sad that this film went to air and barely caused a ripple, I thought it was one of the most amazing April Fools pranks ever put together. Unfortunately in Australia it happened to be broadcast on SBS just a week after a no-foolin' mook hoax special on one of the commercial channels, and it appears not many people watched it.

Unfortunately the information from the IMDB page doesn't give any info about copies being availible.

You might try contacting CBC to see if copies might be availible.

Here's the actual article I read:
http://www.canada.com/search/story.aspx?id=12e62035-91ef-471f-b0e5-fadeb0f54491
However it did not mention in the title that it was anything about a mockumentary. And apparently I missed the one small paragraph in the article stating this. I wish they'd made more clear what the article was reviewing because the rest of the article reads like the documentary is real, if you miss that one small sentence at the beginning. Would have been even better if they'd have provided some links to debunking info of the typical conspiracy claims they bring forth in the article. As it stands I'm sure many people were mistaken into thinking the article was reviewing an actual documentary.
