Other than being incredibly bizarre, this clip goes "Tropic Thunder" Full Retard.

Is Glenn going the AJ route for ratings or is he channeling Colbert in a brilliant parody of himself?

Yup...Glenn Beck has lost his mind.
I stopped being his fan when he asked Congressmen Ellison: "prove to us that you are not working for our enemies", just because he is a Muslim.

The Ellison interview is where Beck jumped the shark for me.
BTW in the History and the Arts section I started a thread on how Beck has become the first out and out Conspiracy Theory Wackjob to get a prime time spot on a major Cable TV network. Yeah, CT wackjobs with their own shows are a staple of "Public Access" TV, but for a major network like Fox to give one his own show is unique.

He can't be the New Alex Jones until he starts blaming things on "Zionists".

Wasn't he on CNN before Fox? Was the CNN show any different (I don't think I ever saw it).

He was on CNN's sister channel, "Headline News"..recently they finally changed it to HNL, admitted they are no longer in the business of giving news on the hour, which they have not been for about six years..and recently moved to Fox.
Beck was peddling woo to a certain degree when he was at HNL, but he has gotten a lot worse since the move to Fox.

Beck's been over the edge for a few years now, but I'm amazed nobody has mentioned Keith Olbermann as someone much the same as Beck.
I realize his audience is immensely small, but somebody must have heard his fevered rantings for the last few years.

Olbermann seems to tinge his outrage with humor. Beck has just gotten melodramatic and bizarre.

Glen Beck is in the mainstream media, therefore he has to be a puppet doing exactly as he is instructed. Whatever the real truth may be, we certainly won't be getting it from Glen Beck. Alex Jones is afraid to talk about the Jesuit connection to virtually everything diabolical over the past 100 years, as is every other person in either the mainstream or alternative media. Let's face it, the disinformation and misinformation experts in Operation Mockingbird, as well as all the others carefully trained by the Tavistock Institute have done a fantastic job of keeping us confused and off balance, afraid to even mention the truth for fear of another vicious attack. While this forum has some of the brightest people in the world contributing to it, this forum also has more disinformation specialists watching and offering their carefully constructed deceit too. I love visiting this forum just to dance around the vipers here.

I'm confused. Are the Jesuits, the Jews, the Freemasons and the Illuminati just different names for the same group, or are they competing for World DominationTM, or are the Jews, the Freemasons and the Illuminati just disinfo?

I don't see a lot of humor when he's calling everybody "fascist".
"Spittle-flecked" is more accurate.
However, I'll take spittle-flecked over teary-eyed any day.

Don't forget the fluoride. That helps keep them confused and off balance a lot.

None of the above.

Olbermann is sometimes a little OTT, but as mentioned before, he leavens his outrage with a fair dose of humor (e.g., I doubt even he really thinks O'Reilly is literally the WORST PERSON IN THE WORRRRRLD!). He is also quite capable of criticizing and laughing at himself, something you won't see much of from Beck or O'Reilly. He has even on rare occasion defended or applauded O'Rielly. I also never see Olbermann go on about God or the end times.
Speaking of those two, I caught a few minutes of O'Reilly's show last week where he interviewed Beck. You know something's wrong when O'Reilly comes off as the calm, reasonable one in the exchange. I would've watched the whole interview but I suddenly remembered that I can't stand either of them.

Olbermann is not as batcrap crazy as Beck; he is more like OReilly or Hannity in that he has no qualms about using half truths and distortions (mainly by leaving out certain information) to support his "progressive " viewpoint.
But he does not rant and does not buy into Conspiracy Theories the way that Beck does.

Beck's target audience.
Besides, of course, rubberneckers waiting to see what whacked out thing Beck is going to say next. Fox welcomes all eyes.

He can't be the New Alex Jones until he starts blaming things on "Zionists".
Also, he has to start making "documentaries" at the rate of one every six months blaming some crisis on "Zionists" or some other nebulous, shadowy globalist entity.
Oh, and sell t-shirts. Lots of t-shirts.

It's sad because I used to listen to Beck back when his show more comedy than anything. "Doom and gloom" Beck is simply painful to sit through.

And it is not a coincidence that Beck got heavily into Conspiracy Theories about the same time the show ceased being funny.

So trusting anyone in any media is crazy?
Point taken. I no longer trust anything you say at all. As my first act of defiance against your wishes I will now trust Buck and Jones........er........no, I won't be doing that either but I'm still not trusting you.

A few years back, Dobbs basically called Canada another "cheap foreign labour market." It was at that point I realized that Dobbs and facts were, at best, distantly related. His repetition of the "North American Union" and "NAFTA superhighway" nonsense is but even more proof of his disassociation with reality.

I have nothing for contempt for Dobbs, but he does seem to blame "BIg Corporations" for the NAU/Nafta stuff, and, although I think he is 100% wrong, I think that is a little different in terms of crazy from seeing a vast evil James Bond VIllians type conspiracy behind it. One is merely mistaken, the other is batcrap crazy.

Of course as long as he doesn't discontinue Mor(e)on Trivia I'll still listen Fridays during football season. :D
