I agree 100%. It is un-American in the extreme that the government is controlling media access to the scene of a natural disaster, for whatever reason. That it may be to withold unpleasant images (dead bodies) from the public is outrageous in the extreme, if true. This is the same trend as the sanitized images we're permitted to see from the wars that we fight (which started with Grenada invasion).
Of course there's also the factor of keeping the proof of government's lack of adequate response out of public view. Imagine Katrina, but with a media blackout on New Orleans. The same level of death, destruction and suffering -- but the outside world knows nothing about it. I think that the comparison by this reporter to Myanmar's blackout of news coverage from their Tsunami-devastated areas to be quite apt.

Because there were 2 really good categories that i could put it in. I could not decide so i put it in both.

It's not spamming. The definition of spamming is flooding the internet with many messages to force others to receive a message that they would not normally receive. 2 is not many, and i am not forcing anyone to receive this message. And also it being it different categories also makes it not spam.

No it was a breach of rule 11. Not rule 6. And i posted a topic in the 9/11ctforum in which the moderator did not catch the link to 9/11 conspiracy theories. I said,
Pakistani Taliban planning attack on White House that will "Shock the World". http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090331/ap_on_re_as/as_pakistan
Didn't Al qaeda say something similar before 9/11?
The point i was trying to make with this was al qaeda made a similar announcement before 9/11, and therefore there should be no reason for 9/11 ct's to exist.

You can take that up with the moderator over in forum management if you wish. You fail to see the point I'm trying to make. You've already been infracted for spamming, fact. You fail to understand the definition of spam as it is described in rule 6. But hey, don't listen to me. Keep on going just the way you are.

Rule 6 States "You will not "spam" or "flood" the Forum." It gives NO definition about what it means by "Spam or Flood". THe post i made about the planes was not spamming since in only posted it once. ANd it was a major issues that should have had its own thread to be discussed.

I got a kick out of this comment below the video. I'm not sure exactly what I'm supposed to be agreeing or disagreeing with, but I'm pretty sure I'm rather confident I can do one of those.
This is clearly a HARRP job for any of you who dont know what that is just look it up that [bleep] can control weather and start earthquakes. this is clearly just a test of it. Those cops that told those people not to say anything about the dozens of bodies... same people who told the news to report a storm was coming. The Video was a news report regarding Hurricane Ike.
The thread he started prior to that was about Hurricane Ike.
Thread Prior to that, The Galveston storm of 1900.
Same behavior that got him an infraction in 9/11 CT. I was trying to point that out then he gets snippy. Now he can go pound sand. :)

Ah, thanks. So a hurrican conspiradroid, then. It's nice to specialize, what with so many generalists out there.
So - I'm home and checked out the YouTube.
And....? A reporter is upset that during the immediate aftermath of a hurricane one or another county and state and federal official got their wires crossed. Ike had a total of about 50 fatalities - nothing like the loons in the comments were expecting... 4000 deaths, my arse!

The deaths in hurricane ike totaled closer to 200, and they were expecting that many deaths if nobody left galveston island.

Perhaps there was a need to keep the rescue air space clear? (http://abcnews.go.com/US/Story?id=5803468&page=1)A reporter on the scene saw several helicopters flying around the scene as well as two game wardens who were conducting their own search and rescue in air boats.
I'm convinced Bush would have been trying to suppress all the bad news he could about Ike and Katrina, but nothing here says Bolivar was any worse than the rest of Galveston. And the images eventually were widely available. I don't see any unique conspiracy here. Just the usual poorly coordinated disaster response.
