Phunny ****. Though you can't judge an entire groups by a few morons. Every group has radicals,extremists and idiots.
I may have found the video amusing and disagree with the portestors, but I doubt all are like that. The sample is small and open to confrimation bias.

...not in that group.
How can one have a meaningful dialog w/ people who;
a. Are shockingly ignorant of history/real politic
b. Carry signs comparing Bush to Hitler (it is significant that the ONLY SH signs were displayed w/ Bush along side - the "point" being that they are equally as bad).
It just goes to show you that;
- The organizers are professional left wing / communist groups (International ANSWER, etc.)
- And the participants are "useful idiots".

Barkhorn.

A nice, convenient, self-serving oversimplification that allows you to now dismiss the opinions of millions of people.
Nice skeptical thinking skills there.

The opinions of millions of people are being shaped/colored/used by groups like International ANSWER - a Marxist organization that supports some pretty unsavory characters;

:D Nice stupid reply. How many seconds of thought did that take?
I've never even heard of that group, and here's one antiwar activist that forms his own opinions, thank you very much.
Relics like you and Rikzilla still see the word "Communist" and wet your pants. You are delirious if you think they have any real effect on anything, or any real power whatsoever.

...hey, who will be the first to mention Hitler?? :rolleyes: :rolleyes:
Don't know about you but I think it is vitally important that we all understand the motivations of those who are anti-war, anti-Bush, anti-American, blah, blah, blah.
If you watch CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN you get the impression that the protestor's are just plain folks - you do a bit of digging and you find that there is MUCH more to it than that.
Hey, these protestors have the right (except in Iraq) to say what they want to say. And I have the right to question their motives.

Let me get this straight. For 70 years or more the Communists have tried and failed to gain a foothold in America, failing completely, statistically insignificant, and it is your belief that suddenly they are influential enough to rouse millions of people in protest??? I demand that you come up with a mechanism whereby they have suddenly brainwashed millions of Americans, or turn in your critical-thinker card.
You are being completely illogical. You dismiss them because you want to, plain and simple.

SADDAM LAYS DOWN WEAPONS WITH "PEACE AND JOY IN HEART" (http://www.thebrainstrust.co.uk/article.53.2679.html)
Following world-wide marches for peace the Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein has today laid down all his weapons of mass destruction, ended all state sanctioned torture and executions, and declared Iraq to be a "centre of universal joy, love and harmony."

You’ve never heard of International ANSWER?? You really should get out more.

Oh please - I am under no illusions as to the state of Marxism recently. However, it is you who are delirious if you think that these groups are not the organziers - and [hope to be] the beneficiaries of these protest marches.
Hitchens puts it best;
"...the animating and organising force - were an easily-recognisable bunch of clapped-out pseudo-Marxists who, deep in their hearts, have a nostalgia for the days of the one-party State and who secretly regard Saddam as an anti-imperialist."
Oh and three cheers for your independent ant-war activism. :D

Why should I care about some tired group of hopeful communists? You're the one that is obsessed with communism, not me. To me it's just a word from the past.
You are DEFINITELY under an illusion if you think that many people care what the heck the Communists do. So what if they are trying to take advantage of the opportunity? They won't make any headway.
To impugn the motives of millions of people, as you are clearly doing, is simply irresponsible.

Getting a bit stident are we??
Read the article contained in that link and then you tell me if the speakers - and the causes they espouse - are mainstream.
Secondly, I dismiss them because they are ignorant and being used - why can't you understand that?? There is no illogic in my reasoning - why can't you understand that??
Finally, can you argue your case w/o being insulting?? I am really trying here but if you continue to act like an ass I will no longer reply.

I am not being insulting, I am challenging your conclusions. If you can't take the heat, by all means get out of the kitchen.
Quite obviously, the statements of a few idiots cannot be used to pigeonhole all protestors as stupid Communist sympathizers.
