Has Jones done research to see if there were any natural
"non thermite/thermate" source for them being there beign the chemical cocktail the WTC was. Like Sulphur=Drywall, Iron=paint and electronics. Fluorine=freon, Magnesiusm and manganese, and also=paint. ALl are ingredients in thermite and yet all would be found in the WTC's construction. and for that matter Richard Gage who based all his so called "facts" off of Steven Jones's findings. That my friends is not the Scientific method. As MIT engineering professor Thomas W. Eager said, "These people (in the 9/11 truth movement) use the "reverse scientific method"… they determine what happened, throw out all the data that doesn't fit their conclusion, and then hail their findings as the only possible conclusion."

I could have sworn there was a thread about this topic somewhere around here....

what...can't truthers multi-task? =)

it sounds like the so-called "thermite" in the WTC is actually not thermite. and I would LOVE to see you guys submit your evidence to an independent lab for independent analysis.

but, you guys got the "results" you wanted. you got the "evidence" you desire.

so i expect no specimens to be sent to any independent labs.

now....I believe we need a NEW and INDEPENDENT INVESTIGATION...OF YOUR THERMITE "EVIDENCE".

The issues raised in the OP are already being debated in this thread: http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?t=139293. Normally in such a case the new thread covering the same topic would be merged with the established one. But the other thread is quite large and active, and merging them in this case would distribute the above posts (in chronological order) non-consecutively among several pages of that thread.

Therefore I'm taking the unusual step of closing this thread instead. Please feel free to re-post the OP, and/or any responses to it from this thread, in the other thread.
