I thought I had seen pretty much every lame excuse people have come up with to extricate themselves from the responsibility of their actions, from the "the dog ate my homework" to "I didn't know it was sex", but this is rich:

http://www.cnn.com/2009/SHOWBIZ/Movies/04/10/woody.harrelson.zombie/index.html

Woody Harrelson defended his clash with a photographer at a New York airport Wednesday night as a case of mistaken identity -- he says he mistook the cameraman for a zombie. He later explains he was still in character from shooting a zombie movie, but I wonder if that pathetic excuse is going to fly in court.

Yeah, but was he a Fast Zombie or a Slow Zombie?

Well, what if Woody had been right?

How do we know Woody wasn't right?

I mean, was the photographer actually tested for "zombie?"

Huh?

Was he?

Sigh.

The law is the law, but I have no sympathy for paparrazi.

When I saw that headline on CNN, I thought he had mistaken the photographer for the blogger Zombie from zombietimes.com, who does photo essays.

But real, actual zombies? WTF? I may have to rethink my support for legalizing pot. ;)

His brains would have been eaten, you can't kill a zombie by punching it!

Well, the excuse is stupid, but Harrelson says a lot of stupid things.
What is even more stupid is the photographer who says he was assaulted continuing to follow and harass the perpetrator of the assault.
Woody should certainly be fined for battery, but the judge should then allow him to punch the camera man in the face for being such an idiot.

I blame his "raw food" diet. (Always cook your pot brownies, salmonella, you know)
