to this: "But they show it takes longer to activate processing of social emotions such as admiration and compassion, which are critical for developing a sense of morality. "

I read it that way first, too. Thought it was yet another observation of the essential permanent nature of everything posted on the Internet, thanks to wayback machines and search engines.
Twitter can make you immoral
But the correct interpretation intrigues me. Do they have a pamphlet on how to accomplish this?

I think the more accurate claim is that they believe the constant influx of information can blunt a person's morality.

I broke my wife of the desire for Twitter. I simulated Twitter by sending her inane texts all day long of my "doings", like "Hey, I'm here inside the stall taking a dumpskie and reading the sports page at work!" and "Just farted, and it was not only quiet but it was scent-free!"
