I'm not so sure. I remember how many agnostics posted in the 'Believers Club' thread. I got the impression many agnostics were people who want to believe, but couldn't justify it to themselves intellectually.

I've heard that thought expressed many times.
Most folks misuse the term agnostic, either using it as a synonym for atheist, or expressing the "I just don't know" idea.
Agnosticism refers to being unable to know; to the notion that the human mind is incapable of adressing the questions about "life, the universe, and everything." (to quote Douglas Adams)
