Why? These guys got valid judgments against the terrorist animals that tortured them (Saddam and Co.), and now the administration says they are SOL. Under the theory that Saddam's assets have been declared assets of the reconstruction. Why not let a few bucks trickle down to the actual American victims, rather than just Halliburton, and other corporations?
Similar to how the administration wants to block any effort of 9/11 victims from pursuing lawsuits to hold someone responsible.
Seems they want to cover somethings up and deny anyone legal redress for injuries, like they don't trust the greatest country in the world's legal system.

Now that Saddam is out of power can you even say those are his assets??? I feel bad for the guys but why shoud they get a windfall? THere are thousands of Iraqs who had worse done to them by Saddam. What of their claims.

The suit is kind of silly too. What next, every Iraq who was injured in the US invasion can walk into a Iraq court and sue the US govt for millions. Where would it stop.
