I dunno but I saw Harrison Ford on Conan, Leno and the MTV Music Awards in the last year and on these three occasions he seemed to be a blithering idiot. He just sat there like a goon and said the stupidest things, and it took him like 10 seconds to think them up. I was wondering if he's going through an episode of alcoholism or something.

Could it be that he is a blithering idiot? Have you ever heard him say anything beyond "I know Kung Fu"?
Sorry, that was Keanu Reeves... ;)

Harrison Ford is not doing his job.
The purpose of talk shows is for celebrities to come on and shill their current product. In exchange, they are expected to prepare and be interesting. It sounds like Harrison is saying FU to the system by thinking he's too cool to stoop to perform like a organ-grinder's monkey, except for he doesn't mind collecting the paycheck for his movie appearances. If he's getting a piece of the gross, he's screwing himself as well as the studios and other backers.
edited to add: Monkies are funny.

Could it be that he has some non-drug induced disease that he is too proud to share with the world?

Could it be a side effect of the "celery only" diet that his girlfriend has imposed on him?

I only like it if the celery is wet, and there are egg whisks, and flying goggles. And the Fallen Madonna with the Big Boobies.
We thank you for your money and your time. ;)

Well, A lot of people said the same thing about David Niven once. He appeared on a talk show and looked and sounded like he was completely rat-arsed.
Turned out he had a degenerative mortor-neurone disease.

Don't know about Mr. Ford, but I recall two separate TV appearances (sometime in the late '70s/early '80s I think) by George Carlin and Kenny Rogers. The former was acting as host of some comedy show and obviously not quite there. Kenny's moment occurred while singing a duet with Donna Summer during which he was badly stumbling over--if not fogetting--lyrics.
And of course, now there's Glen Campbell...

I hadn't realised 'Allo 'Allo was so popular in Denmark. What-a mistake-a to make-a.
Sorry. Back to Harrison.
