I was searching on The Times website for information for use in another thread and the following story was in a sidebar: Pupils aged 11 to learn about gay sex (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/education/article6182162.ece).
What the story is about is the new revisions to the guidelines on "sex and relationship education" for use in schools in England. The headline that they have ran with is therefore quite misleading however from the comments added to that article it appears that The Times knows its audience and likes to feed their bigotry:

....I agree that they need to understand why their bodies are changing, but that's about it. What has reproduction got to do with gay sex?.....
.....Why is it deemed OK to have agrophobia but not homophobia?.....
...Gay values should not be taught as the norm. Remember Adam & Eve, I dont remember Adam & Adam.....
....Statistics already shows that Gods model of a married man and woman bringing up children is unbeatable. If you are trying to tackle record level of teenage pregnancy then how does gay unions come into this? Discus the facts but also the psychological and physical damage gay unions bring.....
....If the pressure to promote gay relationships is succeeding,
let Christian people just promote the facts about gay relationships: massive promiscuity, a decrease 20-30 years in life expectancy, etc. Let's have a full blown debate - not just the one-sided arguments from the gay lobby.....
....There was a time when, quite rightly, the campaign was about tolerance with regard to "gay unions". But, we have now moved on to implying to children that homosexuality is the norm.....
...It would be better for a man to tie a mill stone round his neck and jump into the sea rather than to cause one of these little ones to fall into sin.....
...And people in this supposdly morally superior society have the gall to complain about child marriage in Eastern and Middle-Eastern Countries? No wonder the West is considered decadant and corrupt. At least child marriage ensures that the child(ren) aren't exposed to STIs and unwanted pregancies.....
....Who are these people that have all this say. Why are we teaching our children godless principles that have destroyed many societies in history. .....
..... As long as the facts are taught that gay sex is unnatural and frowned upon by normal people as the homosexuals have spent years now with the propaganda that they are proud to be this way and that it is acceptable to all in society when it is not.....
Now I did use hyperbole when I said that "knows its audience and likes to feed their bigotry" as there are many comments that condemm the type of comments I've quoted above and quite a few that note the headline does not match the facts of the story.
I do find it quite disappointing that merely the mention of gay can still be relied on today to provoke such comments.
