I'm pretty sure he won't be taking the MDC any time soon:

He has emailed his challenge – he calls it an “invitation” – to the Sensing Murder “psychics,” but has so far received just one response, from the PA for Scott Russell Hill stating “it is against our policy to undergo testing,” which Tony Andrews says is a strange claim, given Sensing Murder claims to have tested all the psychics who appear on it before they were selected. “I was moved to offer the Sensing Murder psychics my own money [because of] their apparent amazing ability to identify the genders of dead people from unseen images. They have apparently done this [on the show] with 100 per cent accuracy at least 32 times. If there is life after death, I’m happy to pay $20,000 to have it validated as a fact.” Watch this space, but don’t hold your breath.

Thanks for your reply Drudgewire. I too sent an e-mail to the contact on Scott's website, Kerstin, who I assume is probably his personal assistant. I wanted to make the e-mail as unthreatening as possible, and this is what I came up with.


Dear Kerstin,

I found your e-mail address on Scott Russell Hill's website, and I hope you don't mind me contacting you regarding this matter.

I have recently completed reading Scott Russell Hill's book 'Psychic Detective', and found it absolutely fascinating. I was wondering if you and Scott were aware of the following.

The James Randi Educational Foundation in Fort Lauderdale, Florida offers a one million dollar (US) prize to any individual "who can show, under proper observing conditions, evidence of any paranormal, supernatural, or occult power or event". After reading his book and seeing him work on 'Sensing Murder', I believe Scott would be a perfect candidate for the million dollar challenge.

My knowledge of the challenge is limited, but from what I understand it would not require any travel outside of Australia, as there are representatives here that can administer the challenge.

The challenge is to be discontinued as of March 6th, 2010, so not much time remains to submit an application. Do you think Scott would be interested in taking part in something like this?

Thank you for emailing me no less than three times this same email. No I don't think Scott will be interested, we receive invitations such as this all the time. Scott is not a performing seal for the skeptics. The goal posts are only moved in these condition, Scott has already proven his worth and doesn't need to prove himself time and time again. In any case as we know from the Skeptic society, "I'm a skeptic, I've already made up my mind". I invite you to come to one of Scotts shows if you would like to see him work more closely.

I don't know why, perhaps I'm addicted to arguing with this guy, but I'm up against a childish sh*t stirring conspiracy theorist who thinks Scott Russell Hill is the absolute infallible proof of psychic ability.

He's even made a cute wee video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=woh_A4y9PEQ), which of course doesn't leave any doubt whatsoever hahah...

Interesting that I can't find any proof of the predictions BEFORE the events. And any mainstream print articles I can find are from trashy women's magazines and really tacky tabloids (which I notice he leaves the title off on his website).

You know, when someone finds it necessary to take this kind of snide, snotty, "I'm a special little snowflake" tone ("Thank you for emailing me no less than three times this same email", "Scott is not a performing seal for the skeptics," ""I'm a skeptic, I've already made up my mind", actually, I could just quote the entire email), you always know, every single time, that they have no real response to make. (I especially liked "good luck in getting your million dollars", when the point of the challenge is that if this moron actually has any paranormal powers, then he's the one who gets the million dollars.) Do these people honestly have no idea how ridiculous they make themselves sound?
