I am thinking of a span of perhaps less than 3 months, that really changed the world. This time period occured after WW2. Can you tell me what time period I am thinking of? Then again, maybe you have a better one than what *I* am thinking of.

We could all make a game out of this thread in trying to "one up" each other as to the time periods in history that had a profound impact ...perhaps greater than one some previous poster would come up with. But first...see if you can guess the one I am thinking of.

I'm guessing you're talking about more than one invention/discovery in a fairly short time period?

Cuban Missile Crisis?
Death of JFK?
9/11 - Enron - Invasion of Afghanistan?
Invention of personal PC?

"Three months during which we established the state of Israel?"

Define the "we" here.

I'd go with the months including the fall of the Berlin wall in 89.

Three months is a little short, but the fall of communism has got to come close

What about '86 and '03?

He didn't say a consecutive three months.

Those were sudden collapses. The Collapse of '78 was gradual. The Sox had a 14.5 game lead over the Yankees but squandered it.

A second, and often forgotten, collapse was the Collapse of '74, when the Sox blew a 4 game Labor Day lead over Baltimore and finished behind by 7 games.

Not to be a braggert but as a life-long philly fan don't the 64' phillies hold the distinction of the biggest collapse in baseball history?

You've all had your chances.:D

Here is what *I* had in mind. If you don't agree, well....that's why we are all here now, ISn't it?:hit:

November 1963 = Assassination of Kennedy
February 1964 = Beatles on Ed Sullivan Show.(And look what THIS all led to. Hippies, anti-war, marijuana, MORE rockers only 'heavier'...disco dancing...heavy metal...death metal...gangsta rap...people murdering and committing suicide over lyrics...and the Osbourne Show!
