Well, NBC certainly has found a new way to get ratings hasnt it...
From NBC hires 'Omen' screenwriter (http://www.msnbc.com/news/992979.asp):
Executive producer Gavin Palone said he sees the project as having a “larger potential audience than any show on television.”
Indeed, a number of network dramas dealing in spiritual themes have proven popular in prime time, including the long-running CBS series “Touched By an Angel,” the WB’s “7th Heaven” and the new CBS drama “Joan of Arcadia.”
I'm sure most of the people who have seen HBOs "Carnivale" enjoy it. Just as long as fundies dont try to use this miniseries as a way justifying their faith or trying to take it as anything but entertainment, it'll be fine, and if I find the time (and remember on my own), I might catch the premier.

Nowadays the sad thing to me is that young christians are subjected to the profiteers who make endtimes novels and "nonfiction" by their churches and help line these peoples pockets. Often times their local youth ministers are believers and honestly think they are helping them by steering them towards end times drivel.
Now as if it wasn't bad enough that everyone from Jack Van Impe to Kirk Cameron is cashing in on these marks, now NBC is gonna do it too.

For a small oppressed minority they sure are profitable.

You know they will. Of course they will. This is the only time in my life I hope the liberal media steps in and downplays this, or helps it not get made all together.
However, if it does make it to air, and the response is great, the media might turn a critical eye to the whole phenomenon, and THAT will make for good TV. much like the PBS special that was on awhile back.
What I would like to see is a debate between fundies and skeptics on live TV, but while I'm wishing, I'd also like a pony.

They should base it on Dogma...
That was MUCH better Armageddon story.

Nothing.
Do you find it wrong for someone to make a movie showing this belief and the Bible is wrong?
