View Full Version : Collecting Ki from the furthest galaxy

In case you have been wondering how to collect ki from a distant galaxy, the exact technique is presented step-by-step in Sugiyama's book (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0966904818/ref=sib_rdr_dp/102-0728873-9628168?%5Fencoding=UTF8&no=283155&me=ATVPDKIKX0DER&st=books):

Sorry, I already have enough to last a lifetime. I can even spare a cup or two if you need to borrow some.

What happens is some being on the other side of the universe is draining the ki from us?

Me too, Wild Cat, I have at least a Ki-lo.

But look at the comments of happy readers, like the following review of the 2002 edition (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0966904842/102-0728873-9628168?v=glance) of the book:
This book is probably best appreciated after experiencing "ki"
training in Sensei Sugiyama's dojo. That is not possible for
persons who cannot visit Chicago. Are persons who acknowledge
the existence of mental energy ("ki"), and the ability to
utilize it, more powerful? Or do they merely seem that way?
Does it matter? I became convinced there was a force at work
when I returned home for Sensei Sugiyama's dojo, and playfully
projected my mental energy at our cockateel. He ducked.
Astonished, I tried it again. He dodged. Each time he evaded
my "attack". After his death, we acquired a love bird. I tried
the same experiment on him, with the same result. Since then, I
have experimented with my fellow students in the dojo. Humans
are less sensitive than birds, but they exhibit similar behavior.
The book is beautifully simple in its explanation. It is an
illustrated "workbook" of exercises to help the reader develop
their ability to utilize ki. Western thought tends to reject
that which cannot be directly observed and measured. To those
who are willing to keep an open mind, the principles of "ki" are
effectively laid out. The others will probably not tap into it
anyway.
Edit: So, you see WildCat, the reason you have so much ki is that you live near sensei Sugiyama's dojo. Lucky you!

Which influence would YOU rather be under: Ki, or Qi (same as chi and khi)? And would you be wacked out if you were practicing your Ki excercize while concentrating on Qi?...while you were drawing a circles circumference size with pi?

I believe they are the same thing. Ki is translation from Japanese, Chi from Chinese.

So that's what lives in that creepy house at Greenview and Altgeld! I always thought a vampire lived there, now I know there are few windows to keep the ki from escaping.

No Answers---Jeff is pretty good at turning one meaning into something else.:bgrin:
Rolfe---I looked at that site you provided. Ya...these things are all sort of alike. Any "eeeeeee"-sounding two-letter word is to sound profound, I think. Reminds me how I used to think that pro-football teams would hire these place kickers with names like Hectoracho Amecimbabweferrara...instead of a Bob Smith, because it made them sound like they were this real good authentic soccer-style place kicker.

There are lots of "yi"'s in Chinese. If you are speaking about the one I think you are speaking about, it loosely means mind, willpower, intent, from the heart, and idea.
It is used in words like "yiqi" (spirit), for example.

In 4th stage it says, "Do not exhale". Practice this for a longer period and you will certainly start to sense the "lava flow" because of anoxia.

For whatever reason (possibly that image of the dude sucking the energy out of the sky), this process reminds me strangely of an occult belief called "Psychic Vampirism". Apparently you drain and feed on the mental energy of your victims.
Of course, as atheists/satanists, we shouldnt be collecting Ki energy from other planets, it says so right in the 9 Satanic Statements (http://www.satanism101.com/statements.html):
VI Satan represents responsibility to the responsible, instead of concern for psychic vampires!

I think the best use of "ki" has got to be in the following hindu phrase:
Teri maa ki gaand ki baal mein jalaay hue, maarey hue chupkili ki unday
It means:
There are burnt, dead lizard eggs in the hair around your mother's ass
Class insult you must agree.

What? The bar-steward killed 2 birds with his ki?
So a kilo is 2.2 lbs which is just about 1/7 of a stone? Pretty efficient.
FWIW there's a better explanation of Yi here (http://denner.org/reinhard/neijia/peng/pengDefinitions.html)

From El Greco's Post above:
I became convinced there was a force at work
when I returned home for Sensei Sugiyama's dojo, and playfully
projected my mental energy at our cockateel. He ducked.
Astonished, I tried it again. He dodged. Each time he evaded
my "attack". After his death, we acquired a love bird. I tried
the same experiment on him, with the same result. Since then, I
have experimented with my fellow students in the dojo. Humans
are less sensitive than birds, but they exhibit similar behavior.
So let me get this straight. This power is useless against birds because they always know when to duck (no pun intended). But the technique is even less useful against humans because they are less sensitive (and still know when to duck).

I have a surprise for you: I actually own that book (hey, nobody's perfect), and there is a photo of the sensei projecting ki through his students who unintentionally bent backwards. I'll scan it and post it when I get home.

Wot about your ex-parrot? The Norwegian Blue? Is he pinin' for the fiords? Or is he just kippin'?

As promised, one of the photos from the book. I find it difficult to believe that so many students have agreed to pretend they fall back for such a demonstration, so I tend to think that self-suggestion is really powerful.

The person in front of them is taking up more room suddenly, the natural reaction would be to lean back.
Do this a couple of times, or more, and you're likely to get an instance where the person behind them shifts back a lot, possible emphasised by the camera angle.
That's what I see anyhow.

I think their eyes are closed, but when someone leans back like the student in front, their abs are tensing as they absorb the weight and their breathing will change. The person behind gets used to, probably subconciously, hearing the shift in breathing and being told "Good munchkin, you're developing ki power" and Pavlov does the rest.

I bet the people on that planet are really ticked off to have some jerk suck up all their lava like that.
At least it they come and invade us, we'll know whom to give to them to zap with alien death rays.

They're female, and he's an alpha male, and they've agreed to be in his little chimpanzee troupe.
Hell, I can do that to a fair number of females, and I don't even have to stick out my hand.
