What a wonderful place to bring the kids for a live re-enactment of torture! Seriously, shouldn't something like this have age restrictions?

Absolutely horrible - a prime example of brainwashing at its best.

This camp has since disbanded...

I had a neighbor that made her two kids (aged 6 and 10) watch The Passion of the Christ. She told me as if she wanted a pat on the back. When I gave her my opinion on the subject she responded with.."no no its ok, its religion". Disgusting...

"no no its ok, its religion".

You have managed to boil the religious mindset down to one phrase, sweet.

It kills me that people who wouldn't let their 14 year old watch "Something about Mary" will let their children watch Passion of the christ.

By my logic if my hero's do something bad that actually makes that action worse in my eyes, not suddenly better. I mean if James Randi started " Project Kill Kittens" i wouldn't suddenly think that killing kittens is o.k. . But Christians ( and other religions) of various denominations do it whenever something comes out that is both Religious in nature and controversial.

Suddenly these things they "didn't like " before are okay because god got a hold of them. Short list would be passion of the christ, christian punk/metal/rap, and any other niche that christianity can make a buck off of like comic books, video games, etc etc etc.

It just shows the flaw in listening to someone because of who they are versus what they say.
