Some will be appalled at this. Some would be appalled at the same approach being applied to society in general - even if it were to be demonstrated that it would produce a more humane and just society. My feeling is that many have the same mentality as the guys who made those old religious movies like Moses where once Moses wandered off up to the mountain top (or whatever) and his society was left without his moral authority everyone went hog wild - raping and pillaging and what not. It seems to me the same moral sensibility that is so rampant in Christianity and other religions remains even with some of those who have cast off the shackles of religious superstition and think themselves enlightened because of it.

Ummmmm...from what I heard they weren't raping and pillaging, but rather partying. They saved the R&P until they blew down the Jericho walls, all under devine guidance as well as approved secular control. But I take your meaning...

Yeah, the video was just another rant by a Anarchist who has no clue about reality.

I think using Moses coming down from the Mountain as a attempt to argue while we don't government is pretty clueless in and of itself.

I lost interest before I could be appalled. For once, I can totally relate. I couldn't stand more than a minute of it.

I. Roundabouts (traffic circles to Americans) aren't supposed to have traffic lights. Duh.

II. If the free government prenatal class isn't any good, then you can't blame the government for removing demand for private prenatal classes. You can't have it both ways.

III. "How will the poor be educated? By downloading my podcasts!"

IV. What am I doing to help educate the poor? I pay my taxes, I support free public education, and I vote for every millage and increase that comes along. It may not be much, but I daresay it has a greater effect than a lousy podcast series. I was scrolling through his other videos, looking for the ones on biology and calculus and statistics and German and chemistry and English literature, all subjects taught to me by government employees.

V. I want my thirteen minutes back.

Why would I want to educate those whom I must exploit to maintain my standard of living?

Me too. It's like the Libertarian Anarchists have lost most semblances of charisma and creativity of presentation.

I hear it's a symptom of reading too much Ayn Rand.

They had charisma and creativity? I never thought they ever had any.

Billy Boy is not that clever. His attempt to con people into listening to an Anarchist rant by exploiting the dislike of religon held by a lot of people at JREF is a huge fail.

Some people will be appalled by a wacko traffic designer spending gobs of tax payer money to redesign streets specifically to make people feel less safe? Yes, I guess some people will be appalled... It is a mystery that among those there are so few libertarians/anarchists/voluntariasts.
