Denna Smith thinks God gave her a sign and put a UFO above King's Dominion amusement park, so she and her family went home and prayed.

Possible UFO caught on video (http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/us/2009/06/16/dnt.va.ufo.sighting.wavy) 1:22

King's Dominion said the ring was smoke from one of their rides called, "Volcano."

But that logical explanation didn't stop the news from including an interview with Cameron Pack, a "UFO Investigator." Cameron said he feels the ring could be smoke, but later, believes the ring is a UFO because it resembles a photograph taken in the 1950's from a military base, Fort Belvoir, located in Virginia. King's Dominion theme amusement park is in a different part of Virginia, so, the connection is made that it's a UFO:jaw-dropp

Hey Denna and Cameron: can you say, "smoke ring?"

Huh. Usually the UFO "experts" are the ones blowing smoke.

Ah, but she's positive it wasn't smoke. Are you calling her a liar?

(Not that that doesn't happen here.)

And the the picture claimed to be over Ft Belvoir. It looks like it was drawn in the sky with a crayon. A Burnt Sienna, I'd think. Wait - when did the NSA move there?

Whatever the cause, at least it's amusing.

It never occurred to me that Yahweh might not be capable of taking a UFO in a fight.

Yikes! :jaw-dropp

My first thought would have been "Oh, some kind of publicity stunt for the upcoming TV remake of "V".

The so-called "ring" is pretty indistinct -- not as thick, as continuous or as visible as the 1950s photos shown -- and looks to my eye like a water droplet on the camera lens, or on the window through which the camera is capturing the image.

Or, it could be a celestial craft containing Angels of the Lord. I'm stymied.
