I have been using the same email address for many years.

I receive over 1,000 SPAM messages each day.

I am using a web interface for my email.

Is there any way I can eliminate the SPAM without changing my address?

(The address domain is my son's name)

you e-mail provider offers no spam protection? That's unusual.

I've used the same e-mail address for15 years and get one or two spam emails a day. My provider has a spam blocker that runs on their servers, so I don't see spam in either the web based program or the PC based program I also use with that address.

ETA - or do you run your own e-mail server? If so, the folks who provide the server space probably also have a spam blocker you can use. Its in their interest since it helps control bandwidth.

Yes, it seems strange that your provider doesn't have a spam solution. It's in their interest as much as yours to limit spam. Look around on your web interface for settings or options. There may be a way to turn on filtering from there.
Can you tell us who your provider is? We may be able to figure out what you need to do.

SPAM in all caps, refers to the meat-based product from Hormel. When using the word to refer to inappropriate advertising, it should never be capitalized.

Yes.

WRONG. ALWAYS delete spam without opening or reading it.

Investigate spam blocking software.

Does absolutely ZIP for him as he's using web mail.

Good advice, it just doesn't apply to the spam he's receiving.

Just a thought, as I have not tried this myself. Perhaps you could configure your email to autoforward to a GoogleMail account that you create, and then you read your email from this account. IMO GoogleMail has excellent spam detection algorithms.
