View Full Version : "AA11 & AA77 did not fly on 9/11"

Now we have a variation on a theme started in this (http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?t=146205) thread.
A twoofer posted this story (from Len Hart (who he?)) today at a forum I visit:
http://existentialistcowboy.blogspot.com/2009/06/american-airlines-exposes-bushs-big-lie.html
American Airlines itself is the source for information that AA Flights 11 (North Tower) and
77 (Pentagon) did not fly on 911. These flights are critical to the the government's crumbling
cover up! Without those flights, Bush and his murderous co-conspirators will have to revise the
big lie. They will have to concoct yet another cover story from the ground up! A cover up is on
the brink of collapse when those guilty of capital crimes and high treason either turn on one
another or are forced to revise the lie!
WikiScanner discovered that American Airlines changed their Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?diff=prev&oldid=50132865) entry to
state that Flights 11 and 77 never flew on 9/11.
Original entry was:
Two American Airlines aircraft were hijacked and crashed during the September 11, 2001 Terrorist
Attack: American Airlines Flight 77 (a Boeing 757) and American Airlines Flight 11 (a Boeing 767).
New entry is as follows and it includes the bolded text below:
Two American Airlines aircraft were hijacked and crashed during the September 11, 2001 Terrorist
Attack: Flight 77 (a Boeing 757) and Flight 11 (a Boeing 767).
Although these flights were daily departures before and a month after September 11, 2001.
Neither flight 11 nor 77 were scheduled on September 11, 2001. The records kept by the Bureau
of Transportation Statistics (www.bts.gov/gis/) do not list either flight that day.
--Wikipedia
For a start, both flights DO appear on the BTS (http://www.bts.gov/xml/ontimesummarystatistics/src/dstat/OntimeSummaryDepatures.xml) records:
http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w194/orphia/aa11bts.jpg
http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w194/orphia/aa77dts.jpg
But I don't possess teh skillz to work out what's going on at Wikipedia.
Did someone (I guess a no-planer twoofer) from American Airlines edit that entry?

Seems to me, that its a "public" computer on the net; that is used by a lot of people at AA; or a proxy IP that is used by AA, for all their computers to be piped through when using the net.

That'd be my guess, Orphia. Someone needs to edit it back.
ETA: Whoops. Looks like they already have. That's what I get for posting at 3 am.

As an "open source" reference site, Wikipedia is open to being edited at will, 24/7, by (literally) any eleven-year-old with functioning internet access.
Moderately useful stop for info on how many episodes of Frankenstein Jr. and the Impossibles Hanna-Barbera produced in 1967, or similarly niggling topics... but: inherently unreliable on anything weightier, IMHO, for precisely that reason.

Thanks, Arus.
The same person did this edit a little while later:
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=American_Airlines&diff=next&oldid=50133112
So to claim that they were hijacked is suspicious since they didn't exist.
ETA: and about 4 hours later the whole no-planey paragraph was removed by someone else.

It's a common practice found in most religious and political cults.
What boggles me, is that they all seem to think that none of us are capable of seeing their lies, when most of the time, it couldn't be more obvious if they had a giant neon sign that says "LIE" every time they told one.
It's like dealing with a child that keeps insisting a purple dragon stole his homework...

This reminds me of the time a poster at Democratic Underground tried to prove that the actual airline pilots that were killed that day were not qualified to fly.....
Anyway, a few of the 8 airline pilots were not originally scheduled to fly that day, but for various reasons, changed their schedules so they ended up flying on 9/11.
I suspect that somewhere along the line in the world of troofers, a couple the pilots not being originally scheduled got twisted into the flights themselves not being scheduled that day.
Of course, maybe I'm reading into this too much. Maybe someone just inserted that lie into Wikipedia knowing that it was a lie.

IIRC this was pushed a few years back on the basis that AA did not include the flights in their "on-time/delayed" reports filed with the FAA.

The WHOIS report says the wikipedia editor posted from Dallas Airport. The person didn't even have to be an employee of American Airlines.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_airlines
Though affiliated with the Admirals Club and staffed by many of the same employees, the AA Flagship Lounge is a separate lounge specifically designed for premium customers flying on premium flights both domestically within the United States and internationally
[...]
The added amenities of the Flagship Lounges compared to the normal Admirals Club include free alcoholic beverages including premium brands not found in the Admirals Club, free premium buffet snacks including breakfast items, salads, sandwiches, fruits, chocolates, cheeses and other light fare (options change based on time of day), as well as a less crowded, more comfortable lounge space. Additionally, complimentary Lenovo computer terminals with free internet access, complimentary T-Mobile hotspot access, and complimentary printing is available at most locations, as are shower facilities.

Surprise, surprise, it hasn't been approved. :oldroll:

You'll get that a lot when people think they know what's truth and what's not, even if they can't provide a source. Then there are people that just like to vandalize things. I was reading through the Boston Tea Party article a couple years ago and came across a single instance of "Sons of Liberty" that was replaced with "Bitches of Liberty".

How the heck does a 9/11 CT-ist even get into the Admiral's Club lounge?
Unless of course, he's cleaning the toilets or handing out mints.

Greetings, McHrozni.
Perhaps you are new to the internet minutia that comprises the '911 truth movement'. Without lies, the 'truth movement' wouldn't exist. Personally, I find the juxtapositon hilarious . . . I'm glad to see it's not just me.
Another aspect concerning the 'truth movement' which I find particularly telling is this: When you log off from the internet, the whole 'movement' disappears.
poof
It's as if they never existed in the first place.*

Cuz otherwise truthers may want to avoid your school, reducing the pool of possible students and adding to the number of prospects who are not looking into the Crazy College down the road, which hasn't yet sold its soul to Satan?

The page seems to download, and then I get an "operation aborted" message and can no longer see anything.
(The original link in the OP would mostly download, and then redirect to some sort of youtube link which didn't work, either, but a small percentage of the time the original page did load without redirecting. Strange.)
I'm not having problems with any other pages I visit. Just this one.
