We gather in this thread to pay tribute to the "brilliance" of a certain former poster. A certain former poster we all knew as Ultima1. He left us with a gem this last month....one that indeed tied for first place in the anti-prestigious Stundie Awards.

The FDR is added to track systems it is not a part of the plane.
Where might one find an FDR?
It is in the tail of the plane.

but he gifted us with more, so much more.

Who could forget this one?

Why would my employment have changed I have not retired.

There was this classic one:

Last time i checked a fire commander is not a normal demolition expert. Please explain why he could not have used PULL as a demolition term.

He had strange ideas on what made evidence legitimate:

NO the evindece was used in a trial not a crime scene investigation.

There was so much more. I invite everyone to share their favorites so we can compile and vote on what will be the ultimate of Ultima1's legacy.

Note the other real Stundie Awards for June will be up by the night of July 2nd Pacific time.

His was the voice of an entire generation.

A profoundly stupid generation, sure; but, still... :D

And the very fact that so many believe as he does is absolutely terrifying.

I am not sure about the so many part -- it seems at least recently that the truther could have their North American meeting in a phone booth and still have room for the ping pong table.

What's really scary is that one of the posters here actually telephoned him and established that Ultima's delusions appeared to be legitimately held. Some folks here make me wonder just how genuinely they hold their beliefs; it seems as though they're really in it to prick the bubbles of some of us here, or the mainstream segment of society that accepts "The Official Story" in general. But apparently Ultima's a true believer.

I think we're giving him too much credit. Honestly, I reserve more consideration for the gum I scrape off the bottom of my shoes.

That's a great line, JD. Mind if I steal it (with attribution of course)?

Use away. With residuals, of course.
