WASHINGTON (CNN) -- An al Qaeda video, which appeared this week on an al Qaeda-affiliated Web site, shows the September 11, 2001, attack on New York's World Trade Center as filmed from an angle sources in Washington said they had not seen before.

According to CNN's translation of the tape, the video is a tribute to Abdul Ilah, identified as "one of the fighters of jihad" who was killed by Saudi special forces on November 26 in his Saudi hometown of Hay al-Suaydi.

The speaker on the video says Ilah fought against U.S. forces and their "collaborators" in Kandahar, Afghanistan, before heading to neighboring Pakistan.

Ilah was taken prisoner by U.S. "secret police" in an unidentified Arab country, according to the narrator.

"What was his crime? That he fought against the Christians," the speaker says.

I’m anxious to see how the terrorist apologists will spin this one.

Spin? What can you spin about it? It's business as usual for the terrorists to use videos. There were other videos before.

Tony,

Your problem is that you do not understand that these people have little to live for so they are driven to strike out. They are as much victims as the people that died on 9/11.

As with any group, there are extremists. The notion that any sizable fraction of Islam thinks killing Christians is preposterous. You are taking one quote (if it is that) by one person out of context. As far as adulation being heaped on their martyrs, well, again you are hearing a minority view and even so, their culture is different from ours, so you cannot judge by your ethnocentric western values.

Frankly, you show your racism by even raising this issue. On any right thinking college campus your anti-diversity rattlings would be silenced forthwith. For while free speech is inviolate, speech that hurts people's feelings is not and must be regulated.

Have I made this clear? Good. Now, let me slip this leucotome behind your eye ... just so. Feel better now?

What we all really want to know, however, is does it show Carlos' paranormal hat shaped object coming from the second tower?

I say Ed is being sarcastic. There are a few pointers in his text that shows it.

Well, let's begin with these points:

-Your reading comprehension is a tad lower than Steve Grenards
-Your short to mid term memory is really for crap, if it were not you would have some vague inkling of what my politics are in this area. Altzheimers or drugs, can't really tell
-Your intelligence is questionable when you cannot follow an obvious parody, laced with scarcasm through to it's obvious conclusion.

Is it beginning to make some sense yet? Hello, earth to whatever planet you are on...hello????

After your apology, perhaps you will reflect on the fact that some of us really do need to move our lips when we read.

For penance reread all of my posts that concern free speeh and a-rabs.

Silly boy.

Hang on, you mean, Tony, that I really sounded like a whiney apologist? Really?

Cool. And it was easy, I just started hating myself. So that's how they do it:D

Maybe we should have a contrarian day. That would be pretty funny. AUP wears an eye-patch and calls himself Moise, Mycroft takes on the guise of Shiek ya-Bootie and so on.

Ed needs to aim up a bit, Tony is hardly a fair target.

Poor, poor man. I’m sorry your only option to find happiness is to commit suicide, but must you really bring those people who are better than you down to your level? I guess misery really does love company. What's wrong fool? You keep harassing me in an almost flirtatious manner. Is it a cry for help? If you need someone with which to discuss your problems you can PM me. I know we've had our differences, but I’m always willing to help my fellow man with a personal problem. My door (or PM box as the case may be) is always open. Seriously. :)

Yes Tony, Its a cry for help.....I wish I was as sophisticated as you in the ways of the world. I envy your intellect and your ability to lead people. Do you think Texas could ever do without you? as I feel Australia lacks go getters and cutting edge thinkers, come join us Tony. There a are quite a few arabs here but, no doubt, you'll bring a gun so you can feel safe....

Did you know that there are Arabs who actually don't want to wage war with all Christendom?

Take, for example, Mohammed El-Nawawy and Adel Iskandar. In their book, "Al-Jazeera," they say:

In a time when oppotunists in politics point to the writings of a handful of doomsday writers who warn of an inevitable clash of civilisations between the Western world and the Arab Middle East, we see the need for mutual understanding. The attacks of September 11, 2001, and the ensuing wars in Afghanistan and Iraq reflect an abscence of meaningful understanding between peoples. We do not subscribe to such prophecies of doom, yet they are increasingly difficult to counter given all the rhetoric about "unbridgeable differences" between West and East, Americans and Arabs.*

Indeed. Look not further than several regular posters on this forum who see no other option than open warfare with Arabs (and I'm not neccessarily talking about the two in this thread. Some posters think the world's ills will be solved with the literal destruction of Palestine- by nuclear weapon).

What would be a challenge is to see these people actually try to learn something about Arab cultures instead of cherry-picking articles to support their case for war. See if they can say, "This is what I understand about your culture, this is my challenge to you to come to a peaceful resolution of our differences." Is this possible? Of course it is. It's just not as easy as picking up a club and grunting.

Why should I care about Arabs? I have absolutely nothing against Arabs. Not like you really care about the truth or understanding my position, you are much too devoted to your PC induced bigotry. I really don’t get how someone as intelligent as you can become such a non-thinking moron when encountered with an un-PC and controversial view.

Now, when are you going to grow up? Your stupid drama is really getting boring. You obviously have a lot of animosity towards me, so why don’t you just say what you gotta say? Either that, or tell me what’s bothering you. I’m genuinely interested in what your problem is. I’ll be expecting a PM. :)

Poor Tony. Is nasty Mr Fool picking on you? I'm quite happy to tell you what my problem is. My problem is that you are a bigot and a troll. I'm sorry if you get upset when you are not allowed a free pass to troll, Your whining remind me somewhat of Jedi Knight who would squeal whenever he was not allowed to carry on like a goose......

Either your life must really suck or you got serious problems if you go out of your way to harrass someone you label a "troll" and a "bigot". I doubt you really believe that, it's unlikely you would waste your time harrassing someone you think is a "bigot" and a "troll". So, what REALLY is your problem? Still waiting for that PM. :)

Anyway, troll on. I doubt if you are bored yet.

Actually, my boredom has turned into concern. I just hope you get the help you need, my pitiful friend. Like I said, my PM box is always open. :)

No I dont, I've never given a thought to the fact that I am on your ignore list. I couldn't care less, it has yet to stop you from reading and responding to my posts, and I doubt it will. So go on and "ignore", I'll just remember how weak you are next time you reply to one of my posts.

Main Entry: big·ot
Pronunciation: 'bi-g&t
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle French, hypocrite, bigot
Date: 1661
: a person obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices
- big·ot·ed /-g&-t&d/ adjective
- big·ot·ed·ly adverb

You are intolerantly devoted to your prejudiced view that I don’t like arabs. Even after I cleared that up for you on another thread. For evidence, I cite a quote from this very thread:

There a are quite a few arabs here but, no doubt, you'll bring a gun so you can feel safe....

Your bigoted opinion is such that you implied that I would have a problem with arabs in Australia if I choose to move there. Like I said, you are the very definition of a bigot, you are intolerantly obstinately devoted to your opinion that I don’t like arabs despite the fact of reassurances from me.

If you need clarification, I’m trying to reconcile our differences. You can either hold a stupid grudge over the Internet, and go on holding your bigoted opinions, or you could actually try to understand my position without resorting to kneejerk charges of "racism", the choice is yours. :)

I suggest that if you wish to shed the bigot tag you stop talking like one.

some examples of your love of all thing arabic, snipped from some of your recent posts.

They exhalt religion and race over the individual. They are quasi-fascists.

The arabs living in palestine do have an inferior culture

they are religious fanatics that kill in the name of god.

the arabs in palestine are muslim fanatics

You need to have a good look at yourself son....Inferior culture??? If you want to be treated differently on this board cut this sort of crap for a start. This is a Skeptics board how do you expect bigoted generalisations to be treated?

Yep, you're the bigot. Facts, and reason mean nothing to you, if someone sounds like a bigot, (whatever the hell that means) they must be, despite the facts.

some examples of your love of all thing arabic, snipped from some of your recent posts

More examples of your bigotry, I already explained to you what I meant when I said those comments you so continently took out of context. But do facts and reason matter to a bigot? No. As long as something sounds bigoted, that’s all that matters. It’s the same mentality of symbolism over substance that is indicative of the intellectual rot of the left.

Furthermore, this shows your tenancy to engage in racial steryotypes. I got news for you, not all arabs are muslim and not all muslims are arab.

You need to have a good look at yourself son....Inferior culture???

Yeah! inferior culture, do you know what that means bigot? It means inferior culture. I guess you must be one of those morons who believe all cultures are morally equivalent. Tell me, do you think a culture which practices slavery is equal to one that believes in human rights?

If you want to be treated differently on this board cut this sort of crap for a start. This is a Skeptics board how do you expect bigoted generalisations to be treated?

This and the rest of your charges of "bigotry" are spotlight fallacies (http://www.nizkor.org/features/fallacies/spotlight.html). They aren't "bigoted" generalizations. I am not intolerantly or obstinately devoted to those opinions, in fact I WANT to be proven wrong. I want to believe there are voices of reason, peace, and tolerance in the muslim world. In fact, I even express such options on this website which you conveniently ignore.

I fully understand your position, you get a kick out of trolling, you whine if you cop some of it back.....no different to all those that went before you and all those that will come after you...

I guess I was right about you all along, you would rather hold a childish grudge over the internet than attempt to get along. I swallowed my pride and extended the hand of friendship and you spat on it, thanks for showing the board that Im the better man.

"The arabs in palestine are muslim fanatics"

Lol, Tony......you make me laugh...

and another of your classics....

"I want to believe there are voices of reason, peace, and tolerance in the muslim world. In fact, I even express such options on this website which you conveniently ignore."

show me one example of you expressing such an opinion.....then we can discuss it, just one will do.

A quick lesson in reality for you. There are voices for reason, peace and tolerance in all races, religions or whatever other groupings you want to use....You just have to open your eyes and look....
