View Full Version : Shortcut toolbar for Vista?

On my Win2K machine, I have Office 97, which included a lovely shortcut toolbar that could be put where I wanted it. Office 2007 does not have this amenity.

I dislike using Vista's Quick Launch tray, since it takes up screen real estate that I need in order to have readable buttons for the apps currently running.

Does anyone know of anything that will work on Vista and provide the functionality of the shortcut toolbar described?

Thanks!

So I found this. (http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/en-US/Help/5cca95d3-219a-436b-b016-831296b821ad1033.mspx)

Sounds like you want something more like this? (http://lifehacker.com/229787/windows-vista-tip--built+in-quick-launch-keyboard-shortcuts)

The "turn a folder into a toolbar" trick was the one that fit best (I didn't want to use the Quick Launch in the taskbar thing at all). Many thanks! So far, it's what I wanted.
