View Full Version : Cincinnati Truthers part of a 4th of July Parade

I am dumbfounded at how this small pack of idiots, (along with their children) were allowed to be any part of the 4th of July parade. Granted, I have seen more people witness a parade of ducks walking across the Public Gardens in Boston.
It appears they are passing out 911-Woo-DVD's. One scum bag is chanting "911 Was An Inside Job" on his megaphone along with the other typical tripe.

I think it's OK, it shows ever more clearly how America is a free country. In Iran they'd be shot.
It kind of plays against the truthers in a way.

What's a parade without the clowns?

Agreed, but instead of cleaning up the dung after the horses, they were leaving it behind.

Hmm...glad I didn't know about this. Looks like these clowns have such a huge following . Can't get over the rediculous "nano-thermite is a military grade explosive" line he incessently spouts. I can bet you most of those people threw those pamflets in the trash.

I used to get pissed at stuff like this. Now all I can do is laugh. If they weren't such scumbags, I might actually feel sorry for them.
This is a sign we need to stop giving them unwarranted attention. They thrive off it. It's a waste of time talking sense to such morons anyway. Do you see any arguments about evolution between biologists and street preachers?

That reminds me of the time a truther gave Jean Chretien a "Loose Change" DVD, and he looked at it, set it to one side, and then very deliberately set his drink on it. It was hilarious. I'm gonna go see if I can find it now, just for the chuckles.

A political blog described a Texas Tea Party anti-tax event on the 4th with about twice the people as this parade in attendance as a "failure". There appear to have been many such events around the country.
How many other Twoof events were there on the 4th? Any?
We had an old-fashioned parade here in the heart of FDNY-land, Travis, Staten Island. Essentially everyone that marched or watched knew someone that died on 9/11, many of them family members and/or first-responders. I'd love to see the "Inside Jobbers" try to march.

Hahahaha. My god those guys are complete morons. They don't even realize how incredibly stupid they look. At least they were giving out free toilet paper though.

I've got to admit, the old codger in the beard makes for a nice touch for the circus act.
Edit: just noticed they listed the FDNY as NYFD on the banner, morons.

The guy carrying the big flag is wearing what might be a NY logo, maybe FDNY. Can anyone make it out?
What's the flag he is carrying?

Its NY something, but I hope its not NYFD, because that would be just too funny. See post above.
It looks like a "Don't tread on me" Flag, but I could be wrong. I'll keep looking.

This really annoys me about truthers. If your supposedly supporting a group at least get it right.

A few years back a group of Confederate Civil War re-enactors marched in our 4th of July parade (in Illinois). I wanted to sing a verse of "Marching Through Georgia," but settled for booing them (they were heavily armed) and writing a nasty letter to the organizers, pointing out the treason the Confederacy represented and how inappropriate it was in that parade.

It surprises me that the Cincinnati crowd didn't get more of a turnout for their spot in the parade; the Cincy truthers were doing a public access TV show (http://screwloosechange.blogspot.com/2008/12/cincinnati-kooks.html) for awhile, and I don't recognize any of them in this video.
Another thing I noticed: the "9-11 Truth Ends this War" banner. How can they fly that with Obama as president? I mean, suppose Obama is convinced that the Troofers are right. Would he then say, "Okay, we're pulling out of Iraq and Afghanistan tomorrow?
I can see the argument when Bush was President, even though I think the premise is mentally deranged. It's just striking that the conclusion has become even more so.

This was actually a "hit piece" for the truthers' standard. In a metropolitan area of 2,155,137 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cincinnati) they managed to break the double digit barrier (including the kids). Impressive.

Nice way to hit the gropund running. You pointed out a detail that did not look right. We appreciate attention to detail here.
Actually, they also appear to have edited in sound from other areas of the parade route There are not enough people standing around when we hear the loudest cheering, and most people seem to be just sitting there looking all WTF? as they pass by, which is inconsistant with the cheers.

For a moment I Thought that the truth movement was huge in America, but after seeing that video, I’m more relaxed, they seems just as silly and negligible as the truth movement here in Denmark.

It always amazes me about those idiots. (I can't say what I usually call them) They come to a parade, where children and families gather to celebrate their independance, and you have these idiots showing up. Granted, its their right, but they (mostly) come to start trouble. Hence, the video taping. That way, they can claim they were attacked.
I wouldn't mind seeing HIS tipe though, of him getting his **** ripped off his car, that would make me laugh.

And he is a high-functioning autistic. This means he has trouble with social skills. Not logical thinking. Considering he has a DL and all.
Wait, logical thinking......."Truthers"........I retract my statement and move to stike it from the record.
But, I do feel sorry for the guy. I know what he deals with everyday (my brother is autistic) and its tough. Concepts like money, consequences, etc. are beyond him.
But, given this case, he should have his DL taken away.

God bless America that you can walk down the street with a bull horn and say your political views without fear of jack-booted thugs clubbing you like a baby seal...No matter how "controversial" they may be. I support their right to vocalize their opinions.
That said...jack-booted thugs would have made a sweet video! :) j/k

Thats the only thing that scares me about the twoofers, that they drive on the roads, in this case a person who is blind in one eye and suffers from autism.
