I wrote a letter of complaint to CNN about this:

"CNN should know better than to give credence to the "psychics" taking advantage of Michael Jackson's death. As journalists, you have a responsibility to the public to a) report on real news and b) to look at the evidence. If numerology is really taken seriously by your network, please explain (to start with) why a recent story reported that the number 7 was significant in Jackson's life and your psychic reports that the number 5 was important. Or, if these numbers are really so important, why Jackson neither died on a date that had the number 5 in it nor the number 7.

All your journalists have accomplished with this story is giving these people free publicity by exploiting the public's interest in Jackson's life and death."

Not the most well written response but it's better than nothing.

Here is their feedback page:

They took comments off a while ago--too much criticism was hurting their ego.

Someone needs to merge all these CNN numerology threads, there's about five of them.

Psychics see magin in Michael Jackson's life (http://www.cnn.com/2009/SHOWBIZ/07/10/michael.jackson.psychics/) ...His was "six life path," she [Glynis McCants, the "Numbers Lady"] said, meaning he was magnetic and drew people to him. That, coupled with the fact that he [Michael Jackson] was born on a two day made him irresistible, she said.
Ian Brady (serial killer): murdered 5 children in Lancashire, England; claims 5 others.

Born: Jan. 2, 1938; i.e., a "two day"; life path = 1+2+1+9+3+8 = 2+4 = 6 (six).

"If you are born on a two day and are a six life path then America and the world seem to fall in love with you," McCants said.

So... America and the world just playing hard-to-get with Brady? :nope:
