"The lyrics to the song Tell Her Now were penned by the murdered Beatle in the 1960s, but no music was ever written to go with them.
Now it has been revealed his son JULIAN is working on a project to write music for the song and to publish it.
The lyrics are part of a private collection which Julian accquired after his father was killed on December 8 1980"

Except nothing of the kind is "revealed":
"If the time was right, if it felt right, then I would consider looking at the lyrics and maybe trying to work with them and write something."
Besides, Julian Lennon was never any good, and those lyrics are terrible. They don't even look like they're all part of the same song.

Whew! The first thought that went through my mind is that the song would consist of "HELP! HELP! GET ME OUT OF THIS BLOODY BOX!"

Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Lennon):
Lennon's body was cremated at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, New York; his ashes were then kept by Yoko.

Remember when Jeff Lynne got the remaining Beatles to complete two John Lennon demos for the Anthology series? Nope? I thought so.

Yes I do. I wish for better results in this case.

Really? Say what you will about Jeff Lynne, but as a producer, he has an uncanny ability to take has-been artists and songs and make them into good music...but even he couldn't save those old demos. So why would Julian Lennon be able to do it?

Hopefully it'll be at least as good as Free As A Bird.

I still don't get the fascination, they/he where not that good to begin with, who gives a toss if someone found some third rate lyrics?

Nobody found them. His son, for some reason, wants to put music to them. Possibly to connect to the father that was never there for him.
