This article debunks leftist peace propaganda (http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=6292). It amazes me that students today at American colleges still believe the commie rhetoric by leftists about the Vietnam war.

It's those damn commies as usual. Will they ever run out of resources? I think it would be close enough to say that every 5th person in the world is a communist, don't you think? We're in trouble now.

Jedi...
How do you sleep at night with all those communists under your bed? Thier revolutionary activities must make it very difficult to get any rest...

A quote from the wonderful site you link to.....

"The fact that 83% of commencement speakers at our schools are going to be liberals, Democrats, or leftists is stunning! There is no balance of ideas there and this list is mirrored at universities all across our nation. It’s time we ended the forty-year reign of leftist academics on our campuses and restore common sense and free speech to our campuses -- it’s time to TAKE BACK OUR CAMPUSES.
Please support me in this battle today with a contribution of $25, $35, $50, $100, or more, if possible. Remember! Your gift to CSPC is tax-deductible. Thank you."

David Horowitz

Hmmmm, David, you are a wise man indeed.....

Two questions...
1. Did you lend them your arse to pull that 83% figure out of?
2. Have you made a tax deductable donation to help rid american educational institutions of evil leftists.

LOL...no wonder college was such a traumatic experience for you.....

Thats all I have to say....You can go back to trolling now.

JK, if you actually read his article, it states:-

During the Vietnam War, on college campuses throughout the country, the conventional wisdom among the anti-war protesters was that the war was conducted for the rich. The “peaceniks” said that Vietnam was an economic war -- a war for natural resources. They said that the majority of American troops serving in Vietnam were blacks, and poor or working class whites.

This links to.

In a little-publicized trend, black recruits have gravitated toward non-combat jobs that provide marketable skills for post-military careers, while white soldiers are over-represented in front-line combat forces.

The tilt toward white combat troops is recognized by many senior commanders and a small group of scholars who study the military.

"If anybody should be complaining about battlefield deaths, it is poor, rural whites," says Charles Moskos, a military sociologist at Northwestern University in Illinois.

When Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y., called recently for the return of a military draft, he evoked images of inequality raised during the early years of the Vietnam War, when black soldiers died at rates much greater than their share of the U.S. population.

It has no figures, but just vague generalisations and self contradictions. The trend now is to less blacks on the actual combat front, what was the proportion in vietnam. The poor whites were not over represented in the combat troops, oops, yes they were and still are.

RTFM, JK.

Whatever problems people here may find with JK's link, here is a self-evident truth:
Calling a Communist a Communist is not Red-baiting. It never has been. It is simply stating a truth. However, the truth is a terrible thing for some people if it does not comport with their perspective.

Lots of folks chuckle about the "commie under every bed" joke... but the truth is they are out there....and it's just not PC to talk about them.

Damn guys, this is a skeptic's board...we are not supposed to be subject to the "freeze out the debate" tactics of political correctness.

Are we capable of actually debating communist influences in America, Europe and the world?? If not, why not? If so, then why don't we do it? If you think communism is dead, or funny, or irrelevent please say so and give evidence of such. Laughing at me or JK may be amusing...but it's not skepticism.

Yes, you're right! I think they're planning on restoring Soviet Union. Now that would be a mess. We need another McCarthy.

The numbers of communists aren't really important at this time. What is important is shedding light on their lies and propaganda.

The lies about the Vietnam War, for example, simply prove how dangerous communist deception really is. When young American students who don't really know any better listen to communist propaganda that lies to them about Vietnam participation, that is an example of danger to the nation-state by subversive activity.

As the article explains very well, how many times have you heard leftist students say: "It was all the blacks and poor ghetto people that were sent to Vietnam, not the "privileged" whites (all whites)."

That is the myth of the Vietnam War that needs to be annihilated every time some leftist college student brings it up. Over 80% of all soldiers on the Vietnam battlefield were white and from all income denominations. The communists would like to keep the myth going and the communists would also like for their "useful idiots" (college leftists) to keep perpetuating the tale that it was all "blacks and ghetto" people "exploited" by the United States who were sent to war to die.

Less than 1/3 of the total military force in Vietnam was drafted, yet if you listen to the communists (leftists, feminists etc), they try to make it sound like the great exploitation occured.

The only real exploitation is the exploitation of the young American minds exposed to those leftist lies.
